@vitalogy
funny how in your metaphore you're the baby...
I wouldn't go that far: they are very harsh reviewers, even though they'll give mediocre scores to very good games, you can be sure that when they give out a good score, you're dealing with a must buy game
Edit: juste checked their portal review, they give it a 5... that's not being harsh.. it's just being dumb. Still, I stick with wath I said, if a game gets a good review from them, it's a awesome game. For the rest, just ignore it.
"So now the question is: Who’s more nerdy? The Portal 2 team, for including Russell’s Paradox in the game — or me, for spotting it and pointing it out to everyone else?"
or they could have just googled "paradoxes"
I think there is a resurgence of split screen in games because of the 3d: if you have to render it twice for the 3d effect, you can render it twice for splitscreen. At least that's what I heard in an interview from chrisophe ballestra. It does seem correct, though, motorstorm, uncharted 3, killzone 3 all have splitsreen.
I have the same problem as you! and yesterday Sony thought it would be a good idea to throw infamous 2 beta into the mix, I guess I'll have to skip school now
it's not a secret, it's featured in the steam news section, even on PS3 lol
I feel like that was christophe ballestra's touch, french electro, yuk. awesome footage though
I don't believe realtime studios was exactly an "indy" they were being published by microsoft. In that case microsoft was promoting their own product. Here Valve is mainly helping out some developers that they believe are good.
yeah... the guy in the boat does seem quite calm
It's a good game, but the loading times are really annoying, I would easily take away 2 points, just for that
agreed, the singleplayer is awesome, but you have to give it some time to grown on you, I didn't like the first hour or so.
I don't like the multiplayer though, but that's just my opinion, I see a lot of youtubers love it.
@macky
lol for a moment I thought you were saying that it could be in the unreal 3 engine.
also good job on posting that this is a "fake" before anyone else
this doesn't prove anything... these pictures come from the "gamers heart japan" video, it isn't even a leak.
anyway, does anyone think she won't be in the game?
I guess your right for the festival mode, but the multiplayer part of the game is still good old motorstorm madness.
Some of the tunes fit well into the game, and I don't mind them, but others are really too "electro" and don't convey a sense of tension, I really don't like those.
"We are gamers not stock sellers!"
I never got why people say this, anyone can go out and buy some stock, so you have no clue if we are or not! I, for one, own stock in quite a few gaming companies (not sony though, as all their divisions are under SNE), and want some games to succeed.
Also, it has nothing to do with being a troll, because bashing on other products doesn't make your stock go up.
I thought the music in this game was terrible, am I the only one?
maybe not "terrible", ok , but no where near as good as what we had in previous motorstorms. The music in the other games gave a festival-like vibe to the game, it just gave the impression that the drivers were having fun while crashing into each other, that's what motorstorm was about for me.
Now it feels more serious with action movie music, which are quite good, but just not motorstorm ...
They got it wrong, you don't bet on the winner, you bet on who you think you're able to beat.
yeah, I'm a big fan of the series and got very skeptical when I saw the direction they went with for apocalypse, but once I realized that pressing triangle didn't trigger the destruction but just zoomed on to it, I knew I would like the game.
MS:A is awesome, but has way less single player content than PR, so if your not buying it for the multiplayer, think twice.
it became phenomenal since the last patch, but the single player is way shorter than MS:PR it's more like a training for the multiplayer now...
also I'de like evo to fix the random crashes
still MS:A is one of my favorite games this year
I think I've seen a naughty dog guy talk about this in an interview: they are "killstreaks"
there are 2 different kinds, and both are shown in this video, one is a triple grenade which explode all at once, and the other is more like a "chain-grenade" which don't blow up all at once. If I remember correctly one is a streak of three and the other a streak of seven, seems weird. the other killstreak we see in the video is the green smoke thing, it mak...
