It's a strategy game, but there's no base-building involved(for what I've seen). you start of with spawn points on which you can spawn any off your accessible troop and then from there try to finish the mission with what you have. troops have special abilities and can level up. It's quite similar to the missions in warcraft 3:the frozen throne, if you're fimiliar with it.
It's low budget so there's no voice acting; the story is told through sprites...
I bought it when the psn came back up, but didn't have much time with it. I played the tutorial and the first mission, I'm not sure I like it yet; I had issues controlling my troops, but I don't know if it's just because I'm bad or if the game doesn't control well.
I didn't try it with the move yet (the battery was empty), though
the game's ok, I guess, but it gets really slow as you start up with basic decks with way to much land cards. the games can easily slip into a "wait 10 turn until I get the right card" game. otherwise, I read that there only were 250 cards, which seems really low, any info on that?
well, you're dumb... I guess you're a PC loyalist, but you don't know that blizzard makes games that can run on most PC anyway. They are pretty games, but it's just the art that makes them pretty, concoles will be able to run diablo 3 without a problem
I would say that he has an interesting view on games, I woudn't trust him on everything though. He loved homefront and singularity, he's always saying how good they are. also, he hates sonic. He's especially big on settings for games, that's what makes him interested or not.
yeah, it's nice to see ubisoft supporting mac, it gets my hopes up for might and magic heroes 6
wow PC gamers are really hate consoles lol. Seriously, look at the game, it was built with a console version in mind. It's still an awesome game, and having it be on console down the line won't change that.
also, stop blaming consoles for dumbing down PC games, blame developers for not doing a version that would work well on both.
I believe like it's kinda the point of minecraft to feel "indy". yeah, it's a rich studio, but I wouldn't want mojang to go and change the graphics engine, get a famous composer, famous voice actors, get a twenty man team and market the hell out of the game just because they have money. minecraft started out low budget, I would like it to stay that way.
the game's already out, how would it be ruined by being ported to consoles? besides, it would seem that it plays very well with a controler
That's kinda the problem with what they are offering...except for dead nation, there's nothing for PS+ subscribers; littlebipplanet and infamous were given out free with a PS+ yearly subsription(chances were, you already had one of them) wipeout was given out on the first month of PS+ subscription.
I guess I'll settle for dead nation and PSP games, I was hoping for warhawk, I'm a bit dissapointed. at least PS+ subscribers get 60 days more.
I'll try it out. Sid Meier himself is working on this, it can't be bad. right?
I'm not upset about "only" getting a month more of ps+, as I don't believe sony owes us that much anyway.
But I can understand people that aren't happy about it. PS+ subscribers pay to have a special status, but, for a month, sony will be making everybody special. It's as if PS+ subscribers lose the status they paid for, of course they get an additional month, but effectively they got nothing more, and gain less from being a playstation faithful.
he did a lot of the music for XIV, unfortunately, music isn't enough to make a good game
you're right, the puzzles felt too easy, I never got stuck exept for one place where it was for a really dumb thing. listening to the commentary it's true it sound like they dumbed the game down a lot, but they had to for poeple who didn't play the first portal, though they did make some very smart choices for more advanced players, like replacing the automatic portals by button presses in the first chamber, or in the last chamber inserting in a little event so that players didn...
I just came back from watching it to( in switzerland), suprisingly it came out here before the the states.
I thought it was really good, but it felt short, like a lot of it was cut out.
I didn't criticize his opinion(except for the wheatly part^^). I criticized what he looks at to claim a game is not worth 60$. Portal 2 has awesome writing, characters, gameplay, puzzles and is original. yet he comes out and says its too short and is the same old thing; not taking into account that it's one of the best games this year/generation.
On a side note, if you're sick of portal, two and a half years after a 3hour game, I don't know what you think of F...
I live in switzerland and pay 20.- for a movie in the theatre and 100.- for a videogame and that's considering a swiss franc is worth 1.1$ more or less. And I still feel like I get more utility out of my game purchases than I do from anything else I buy, but maybe I just love games to much.
I also buy nearly all my games day one because, here, unless a game flops hard, the price only drops a year or two down the road.
I think that once I finish the portal 2 coop I...
Ok, so I went back and did some research, and you were right about those "medal kickbacks", they are given by getting medals, which are obtain by doing in-game prowesses, like killstreaks. once you get the right number of medals you can use your medal kickback. it's explaned quite well in this video:

people should start understanding that they vote with their money, so complaining that games are too expensive and buying one every other week is just dumb. If your unhappy with with pricing just stop buying games or wait for the price to drop. If we continue to buy 60$ games it's maybe that afterall, they are well priced
also the article is dumb, it asks the question if portal 2 is worth the 60$ and only talks about the amount of content, it doesn't talk about qualit...
and you will see it!
I lol'ed at the 95% probability of seeing it. Is there really a 5% chance of E3 being cancelled?
