In the "channels" tab, there's only one channel, because switzerland doesn't get all these services. Sony didn't expect this so there are two blank squares beside it lol

in fact, pre-ordering these games makes you pay the full price, so yes it's a guaranteed sell
It picks up when you get the first gun you like, and gets really crazy from mid-game onwards

I would argue that bethesda's games are the most popular RPGs(excluding MMOs), it just didn't hit mainstream because they still are quite hardcore and demand you to invest a few hours before you really get into them.

I read the articles and didn't get it. the campaign part is clear, but for the multiplayer it isn't. Do people have access to the whole multiplayer portion of the game?
if so, It would mean that blizzard doesn't expect much more sales until heart of swarm, which would also mean it would be launching pretty soon(Q1 2012?). anyway, it's a good move for their competitive multiplayer scene

for me the "everyone is laying it" point is the only one that holds water, I don't have many gamer friends, so if I wish to play online with friends COD is the way to go.
the other arguments I don't agree with, though: I don't think the single player portions of CoD are good; and are they even huge budget? I hardly imagine activation spending more than 10 million on the game, all the money goes into marketing. Well supported post release?...
