yeah, he's the worst editor at IGN imo.
what I i dislike the most about him is his total lack of economic sense, he just goes around telling(though Beyond podcast, not directly) every company what to do and how to do it, while having no clue about how companies work and how much stuff cost, completely overlooking the fact that companies also need income.
I think he has a huge knife collection, he must have been showing them of
unfortunately, they counted every sony studio on their list separately, so sony couldn't be number 1. I was shocked to see japan studio in 40th place or so. They are one on my fav studios, every game they put out is so fresh and innovative.
EDIT1:
japan studio #47
santa monica studio #40
polyphony #24
naughty dog #16
they did separate retro studio, game freak, HAL and intelligent systems from nintendo, though
gaikai would be so awesome with the steam library, if that happened gaikai would immediately jump to my most used gaming plateform
motorstorm: PR si amazing :D
I really didn't like killzone 3 though, et wasn't a fan of K2 either. I think what ruined K3 for me was the horrible ending. Surely the worst I have ever seen.
I can't agree with you just because you included portal. otherwise my list resembles yours. I would add heavy rain and any MOBA ever.
just curious, how do you feel about arkham asylum? I love it, but I just couldn't get through arkham city.
PS+ is a great deal, but that doesn't mean other deals can't be great. there's no way you'll be getting portal 1 & 2 for those prices on ps3 and don't forget that there are great pc exclusive titles, you can get spacechem, mount & blade, magica etc for great prices on steam right now. Your PC can surely run them, so just give it a try.
does anyone know if buying from another country messes up the paying? I can't get my payment through, but I don't know if it's because I'm in another country or if it's just the steam servers that are down.
complaining about ME 3's ending being bad is like saying the rest of ME's story is good, which it really isn't. Sure the mission-contained stories were good and well written but the overarching story was garbage. Giant squids from space, really? who thought THAT was good?
I like the gameplay and characters, I wasn't awaiting much from the ending, so it was fine by me.
EDIT. it's the same here, nobody complained about the borderlands ending before ...
of course, some games should be long, I mean I can't imagine a racing game with only two hours of content. but I'd really like more film-long games, if they can maintain very high quality throughout.
that was definitely my favorite moment this generation. My second favorite was the first time playing a level in motorstorm apocalypse, when all the sewage pipes explode in front of you :)
Portal is my all time favorite game, but funnily the "cake is a lie" moment did not stick with me.
My backlog is HUGE this year, playstation plus just pushed everything back. I still didn't open my copies of starhawk and FF XIII-2. I'll limit myself to AC3,xcom, and dishonored this holiday, I think.
you have good taste in games, mister!
but I'm confused, is xcom called ufo in your country?
I'm just astonished at all the heihachi hate, I always thought he was the second/third best character in any tekken release, and I feel like he's the most iconic character of the series. Since when did people start hating him, or worse, not knowing him?
this list only had the most obvious choices, not saying they are bad choices, but a list of the 10 most sold indy games would have seen the same result
and it would look so beautiful! upping the resolution while having a smaller screen makes games look so crisp
sneaky bastard :)
eurogamer are uber-mega portal fans so I guess it's just them being disappointed (they called portal perfect, and portal 2 better)
I feel like all kart racers have the problem of the sense of speed when driving without boosts or anything.
