risky statement to make on this site @Walker ;)
I woudln't say UC3 was bad, but it was no UC2. I have full confidence that the last of us is at least great, after all the UC2 team is on it.
on topic: I hope this means that they are making something different qith the multiplayer, not just deathmatch.
nah it's just a bad game…
a few reasons:
-horrible control: impossible to run around, connor would just stick to everything, going through a door takes 2-4 tries.
-one button does everything: picking up a weapon in combat is impossible because it's mapped to the same button as counter, same problems with other buttons
-linear missions: for an open world game, it never let's you play a mission how you want, and doesn't give you a good reason why ...
connor had such horrible voice acting, so bad I couldn't even tell if the writing was good or bad anymore.
I couldn't believe the voice actor was nominated for best video game actor of the year and connor best character, while max payne and his VA were no where to be seen.
yay hope they spread the XCOM love! Than we can hopefully get a enemy unknown 2 :D
this is getting weird… fallout 4 is the most talked about non-announced game by a landslide. every 2 or 3 days I see one of these articles. the fallouts are in my top 5 games this gen, but I have the impression that the community in general preferred other games. there's nearly no talk about red dead redemption, uncharted 3, just cause 2, portal 2, sleeping dogs, LA noire, LBP2, valkyria chronicles 3, persona 4, catherine, nier… sequels
ok after listing a few titles I rea...
agreed, I always see kinds nagging their parents to play on their iPhone or iPad. Still, unless there's a way to make a mario game work flawlessly with a touchscreen I don't want to see it on the iPad, Nintendo has always made great use of the hardware features with their games and I hope they'll continue that way.
calm down people. He's not talking about the indie games we love, he's mainly refering to what's on the mobile market. It's true, it's just filled with endless runners and bejewelled clones.
I still think that while HR tried to be mature with it's madison scenes, it still wasn't quite there. I dont think madison had a single scene where she wasn't nude, having sex or being kinda raped. She was just mostly defined by her sexuality.(not that mature imo)
I don't think he dissed hotline miami in particular. how I see it, HM is innovative and not immature. the immature games are the ones that take themselves seriously while being childish.
weird, I just couldn't stand limbo and loved braid.
they happen to have opinions which they are aloud to share, unlike developpers in bigger companies.
I having tried 3 out of the 4 methods, I don't fully agree with this articles performance commentaries. I would say native mac games run the best(I get great performance on SC2 for example) then bootcamp, then wrappers. I would imagine virtual machine has the worst performance.
the problem when talking about performance is that it heavily depends on the coding. SC2 for example runs really well in native, but ports like civilization4 run horribly, so bad you might as well ...
I really want to purchase this issue, but I'm in europe and can only access digital subscriptions, is it possible to only get one issue? or do I have to get a 12 month subscription?
also, did I read properly? this will be available later today? can't wait
it's really hard to talk about overrated games, we just tend to throw in the well rated games that we didn't like as much as everyone else.
my personal list: AC3, dishonored, dead space, gears of war, limbo, infinity blade, FEZ, sword & sworcery(seriously how did anyone think it was good?)… but I'm aware that many people love them and that some will even think they're underrated.
a friend of mine thought the walking dead season 3 was a comedy show after watching the first episode, there was was so much useless killing and gore that he just laughed his ass off. Yes, violence can hurt other medias to.
after reading your comment I'm actually scared for the future of the industry...
anything related to video games is a luxury item...
ye
it's just before E3, I wonder how they'll handle it. They are going to have to do two big unveils in under a month, I hope they have enough content.
I don't know… the seananners let's play was pretty popular.
