This is why I waited to buy any digital games on my PS3, which I final purchased December of 2012. E3 TLOU made do it.
Once heard of the new consoles my first though was can I bring XBLA library over to the XBONE. So, I didn't purchased anything digital for my PS3.
I must say it is nice having PS, PS2, PS3, PS4, NES, SNES, N64, GC, Wii, Wii U, 3DS, DS lite, 360, & Xbone, Saturn. But the convenience of digital games is awesome.
BC will...
Nintendo should make a add-on to the Wii U. The two gamepads on one system made me think of this.
If they made another system with PS4 specs that comes with a gamepad and then combine it with the Wii U.
It will be call Wii U2.
This way you would have two gamepads for muliplayer and enough power for 3rd party companies.
I still think Nintendo wouldn't get 3rd support even if the Wii U had twice the power of the PS4.
IMO Wall Street is more concerned with what old Nintendo games on Smart phones would do for other companies like Apple. Wall Street is all about greed and not the future of video games. If Nintendo took Wall Streets advice they would turn into EA. Now how bad would that be for Video games?
I just can't see playing Mario or Zelda games on Smart phones no matter how convenient it is. IMO
Besides the type of game that would play somewhat alright on a touchscreen on...
But they would lose billions as a hardware provider.
You have heard of the Virtual Console?
Also, mobile games have terrible gameplay and Nintendo makes games with very high quality gameplay. That just doesn't seem like it would work.
@ovnipc
The Wii U was suppose to have the best gameplay out of the three consoles.
That's why I was going to get it for the Wii U. Even though I have all three consoles.
That sucks!
I have all three systems and was planning on buying this game on the Wii U.
If this is true then I'll get it for the PS4.
It sounds like you need a Wii U to go along with your PS4. That's one of the bigger reason why I bought my Wii U.
Back on topic:
My PS4 was a great purchase with no regrets. It has the best version of AC IV Black Flag. Also, it makes me want to upgrade my TV.
Nintendo will not give up or sale out. Yes, the Wii U is not selling well, but that's sad for True gamers.
What made Nintendo so great was their vision of where gaming should go and they never would let anyone taint that vision.
Now that Video games are on the center stage of Mainstream Nintnedo's philosophy doesn't work. Today's world is all about Instant gratification. If the Mainstream doesn't see the value of the gamepad and how it w...
Right now I'm playing all three of them. Either AC4 or DR3 and some VC games on the Wii U. The Wii U is winning my gaming time, but not my living room. This because of the gamepad. It makes gaming easier and more convenient. The Kids & Wife are winning the living.
Yes, all three are great consoles.
PS4: I'm having fun with AC4 Black Flag
XBONE: DR3 is extremely fun.
Wii U: Pikmin 3, Wind Waker, 3D World, and the Virtual Console wit...
People are just more likely voice a negative opinion. That is just human nature.
The questions is why be negative? There are three great new consoles, along with the PS360. Right now is the best time to be a gamer and it's only going to get better as time goes on.
Ok, there is one negative thing. All the money that needs to be spent to have all three consoles.
People that play games only on Smart phones & Tables don't even qualify as a casual gamer. They're just killing time with free app games. IMO casual gamers are people that like gaming, but would rather spend most their money on other things than gaming. That why the price is a big deal for casual gamers. They're not like us hardcore gamers finding ways to purcahse latest and greatest Games & Hardware.
The vita is the only system I haven't got yet. There are a few games on it that makes me want to get it, but then I think the same thing might happen to me, like what with you and the Wii U.
My problem is my huge backlog of games though.
@redcar121
This doesn't sound like a troll article, but most of his problems are not game related. The PS4 was made with the Gamer in mind. That's why these nongamer feature aren't up the par yet.
If you need these improves on your PS4 you bought the wrong console.
Bet you!
I already have all three!
@nukeitall
I don't see casual gamers spending $500 for a console or even $400. The price point that gets most of the casual gamers to jump in is $200. That's why the PS3 & 360 have been selling so well the last year.
My question is when do you think the XBONE will drop it's price down to $200 or even $300? I don't even think it'll drop to $400 in 2014.
I hope they lost more money on this than Nintendo did!
Yes, I have all three consoles.
The reason The Wii U didn't sale well is because of all the hate Nintendo gets from the so called true Hardcore gamers. Casual gamers look up to the hardcore gamers for what the next best console will be. This is probably the reason casual gamers thought the Wii U was an add-on to the Wii, due to the Hardcore gamers talking some much smack about the Wii U.
Now that Nintendo has a great library of exclusives and the Wii U is...
Yes, the casual gamers are not early adpotors of new consoles. They have more important things to drop $500 on, but I don't thing they only play on handheld and smartphones.
Do you see Casual gamers buying a Vita? The 3DS does appeal to the casuls, but it has a huge Hardcore gamer following.
Now for the smartphones and tables those games are for nongamers. You know people that won't spend money a game much less a console to play games on. The only e...
Physical & Digital games are different.
Just because you have a physical copy doesn't entitle you to a digital copy for free.
What gets me is not being able to play all digital games that you have purchased for PS3 on PS4. I understand it's not backward compatible, but that should be for only physical games.
Nintendo has the same problem, but at least it's only $1.50 to upgrade the digital game. Once it's been released o...
Only if it's made by Nintendo!
