The Wii U isn't lacking games, It's just lacking good online support. If you're all about FPS then why would you buy a Wii U?
This game will only make the hardcore RPG fans buy a Wii U. That's only if they haven't already bought one.

IMO: It's sad that FPS shooter fans are the majority in the gaming community. This is why PS4 is doing so good, It's got the most power and solid online support.
It's been a shakedown ever since the Video game market attracted Microsoft.

The only thing Nintendo needs to change is the virtual console. They need more games and some N64 & GC games.
We still haven't even seen their full vision for the Wii U yet and the 2/13/14 Nintendo Direct made the system looks a lot more powerful than the media wants us to believe.

Really the Wii U not selling good just makes their stock look more appeal. Now that it's at $14.50 a share and especially after watching the 2/13/14 Nintendo Direct.

Who cares about the last gen consoles or even new console sales. All I care about is the games about to come out and I'm set with my Wii U, PS4, XBONE, Wii, PS3, 360.
Also, if the PS4 was backwards compatible the PS3 wouldn't be selling at the high rate.

You do realize that the 90% of the Video game market are casual gamers. They don't buy tons of games like the hardcores games. so, all the 360s that casual gamer bought collected dust just like the wii did.
People need to realize that video games are mainstream now and are made to make money and not for the love of gaming. Now not all companies are like that, but EA is the prime example.

The Wii did have it's best RPGs released after Skyward Sword, which gave it some life in 2012.
Also, I never needed online support for my Wii and why would I when the 360 had it on lock. The PS3 did make a come back in the category. This makes me believe there is not a console war going on, but a online support war between the PS4 & XBONE. The Wii U is in category of it's ...

Mario Kart 8 & Smash Bros are the console seller. I think if they opened up the VC library with N64 & GC games that would help a lot.
I didn't buy my Wii U for 3rd party games. The Wii U is the perfect retro system with amazing new 1st party games. The thing with Nintendo is they're completely different from PS/XB. Nintendo has more exclusives that appeal to me, but in the end I purchased all three curent gen consoles. The Wii U is my favorite system because of the games and the gamepad.

IMO: People think it's cool to hate Nintendo.
The Wii is the reason the Wii U has no 3rd party support. The Devs laughed at the Wii when it launched, but then Wii Fit came out and the system took off. This made the Devs mad, because they had no choice but to make games for it. The installment base was to big to ignore. For the Devs; it's like getting a new bike and you having to continue to ride your old bike.
The Wii U has enough power for Nintendo's vision of gaming. Super Mario 3D world is amazing. Zelda U will be even better and should show off the gamepad.
Talking about nostalgia: you should check out the Wii U virtual console. It has a tons of retro games. Realy no consoles comes close to offering what the Wii U has. It's plays new nintendo games, BC with Wii games, & virtual consoles has games all the back to 1983. All of this can be accessed with the gamepad, ...

Nintendo games are not made to look like movies, so they can afford to be generation behind. Also, their games are made with quality gameplay and doesn't need blood & guts sale them.
IMO: It's great that Nintendo didn't jump on the FPS bandwagon and stuck with their vision. This is why 2014 is going to be full of great Wii U games.
Sony is right next Nintendo when it comes to exclusives, but that depends on the type of games you like though.
For me it's a hard decision.
The best exclusives on Xbox are Halo, Dead Rising, & Alan Wake. IOM it's not even close to what Sony & Nintendo offer, but it was enough for me to buy a XBONE.
My TV looks so nice with all three consoles under it! Happy gaming people!!! Remember that's what it's all about.

Will the Wii U have a library of games in 2014 like the 3DS had in 2013. If so, it just might turn things around.
This is about 3rd party companies being able to make games using Nintendo charaters on the Wii U. There are two reasons for this.
1) 3rd party companies are afraid their games will sale horrible, due to only Nintendo 1st & 2nd party games sale well on the Wii U.
2) Letting 3rd party companies make games using Nintendo charaters will increase the number of games on Wii u. So, games that Nintendo doesn't have time to make can now be made a lot sooner. ...

The Wii U a great console that wasn't made to compete with Sony.
I not worried about the Wii U, Nintendo is supporting it. The game line up for 2014 proves that.
I am worried about the XBONE it was made to compete with the PS4 and we see how that is going.
My Wii U looks great next to my PS4 & XBONE.
