Because it didn't sell well. Who told you that lie? It's the worst selling numbered LBP in North America. It's the worst selling numbered LBP in Japan. It appears to be the worst selling numbered LBP in Europe. It's not like GT either, where you're going from a 10 million unit seller to 3 million. LBP is like a 3-4 million seller going to <1 million. Why is it the worst seller? Because it's more of the same + PS4 being a weak platform for family games.* Also, it has...

For now. The Neptunia series has clearly found success on Steam or else they wouldn't keep releasing them. I'd say it's likelier this game ends up on PC than it staying PS4 exclusive.

If you like games like Neptunia, Vita would serve you a tonne better than PS4.

LBP3 was a bad idea. Ignoring the various tech issues it had, it felt too much like LBP2.5, which was unneeded when the Vita game was basically LBP2 perfected. They should have waited and made a much larger 3D LBP3.

I never said GT6 should have been a PS4 launch game. I agree that Polyphony wouldn't have been able to get a proper game done in time. I even agree that a port of PS3's GT6 to PS4 wouldn't have happened because Sony believed Drive Club would have been a launch title and GT would eat it. Though, I disagree with the idea that they didn't want to spoil their PS4 debut on a PS3 port. A not insignificant amount of cars in Gran Turismo 5 and 6 are lifted from the PS2 games. As long ...

"[...]unless you're talking about handhelds."

Given there's only been one handheld Gran Turismo, it is kind of hard for the decline to not be 100%. :p

@JMyers Not when the port makes changes and additions to the original game. The story isn't a 1:1 rendition of the Vita release. It's also important to remember the difference in experiences on a handheld vs. a home console. One might find a RPG on a TV screen a poorly paced slog due to the grinding required to get far, but be okay with the same game on a handheld because of its pick up and play nature.

@Nix: I never once mentioned Forza. I do not care about Forza. I don't even own an Xbox anymore. I only wrote about Gran Turismo in the context of its own existence. An 80% contraction in sales between entries is abysmal. I don't understand how that is a controversial opinion, because it's not even an opinion. Gran Turismo's usual sales make it Sony's biggest IP, and the biggest exclusive IP outside of Halo and Nintendo franchises. GT6 dropped it into the same realm of pop...

Just noticed this now: PSP isn't tagged despite the attached image being Gran Turismo PSP's box art lol

Can't even bother doing a Power Pros Baseball roster update for PS3/Vita. Wow.

Misleading title. This game has been out in Japan for months now. Also, given how this publisher acts, I wouldn't count on it being PS4 exclusive for long. It'll likely be ported to PC and possibly even Vita by the end of 2016.

From Polyphony's official site and this court case:

Gran Turismo 10.850
Gran Turismo 2 9.370
Gran Turismo 3 A-spec 14.890
Gran Turismo Concept Series 1.560
Gran Turismo 4 “Prologue” 1.400
Gran Turismo 4 11.730
Gran Turismo 5 “Prologue” 5.350
Gran Turismo PSP 4.220
Gran Turismo 5 10.890
Gran Turismo 6 2.370

in the millions.

"With BloodBorne, they even went as far as to delay putting their review up on Metacritic just so they could wait for the right moment to bring the score down. What gives?"

Take it from someone who's had their work republished on Metacritic, the content creator doesn't control when the scores go live on that site. That's all on Metacritic's skeleton crew of a staff.

I'm sure you'd agree that a PS4 game can be worse on Vita, so why is it a surprise that a Vita game can be worse on PS4? I've played the original Tearaway and a demo of Unfolded. While the original Vita release left me charmed it couldn't help but feel cold with the PS4 port. Because of the difference in controls the interactivity was significantly worse and I couldn't help but shake how unfitting a cynical hackjob port was for a game as uncyncial as Tearaway.

When none of those games are from Sony and only a tiny handful are actually at their booth, yes. I'm not implying they don't care about Vita in Japan. I'm straight up saying it.

"The right time" being whenever there are so few Vita owners left that actually care that there won't be bad press.

3866d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

No, the dominant platform in reality is likely going to be iOS. On sites like this? Sure, I guess Vita and PS4 would be.

3866d ago 2 agree40 disagreeView comment

And people like to say Sony cares about Vita in Japan. Pathetic. They deserve the 66% contraction in hardware sales they're getting in that market. From 30 million units across PSP/PS3 to 10 million on PSV/PS4 all because they felt home consoles were the better investment in the one market that doesn't care about them.

If the Vita version comes out first, why is it "PS4 and Vita?"
