People are reacting this way because of the political message it is providing. In this case it’s the gender politics many people are sick of.
Let’s say it’s not gender politics, let’s say a game promotes fascism, or communism or glorifies the massacre of native Americans , or talk about jews as evil etc would you not expect people to react adversely to that?
Not to mention Dragon age is a sequel to a Game of the year that sold gangbusters. So it’s not unrealistic that EA expects this game to do better than what it’s doing now

Secondly based on analysis on a network of 800k registered PSN accounts, there were just under 3000 accounts having purchased dragon age vielguard. Extrapolated over 61m PS5 buyers, it can be estimated that about 255k sold so far. They did the same with concord and the figures were spot on.

GTA5 may be the one of the best selling games ever… only game i can think of that can top this is Tetris.
