Most of the icons from all playstation era are absent from the games saves Kratos , Jake and Daxter ,, Heihachi and a few newcomers .

I dont care much for review scores actually , it doesnt factor in my purchases .

They gave it a 9.2 when half the hdtvs couldnt even run the game in hd due to bugs . With sd mode lagging considerably and being gamebreaking (again ps3 version) .

I have issues of my own with NT games , and so did others . Wich is fine , the game clearly arent for my tastes , while it is for some others .

Fans of the game were clearly hoping for a positive result in sales , as they already had the whole media at their side . And now suddenly sales dont matter ?
It still obviously can be harder or simply hard on high difficulties . It's not the push button to auto win , exagerately claimed in jest or anger , but it's a far cry from previous games in that area .
And i should have also added than the fighting mechanic is part of the simplified stuff , not just the difficulty .
Previous games had a wealth of complex subtles and subtleties that arent that far from fighting games , even if truth be told most peop...

Some of us not only dislike the new design , story and hero .... but also dont like the gameplay and difficulty/challenge it offers . We feel it didnt offer anything better in any area over the older DMC game and was casualized in return .
There is also a whole aspect of PR controversity and negative comments and interviews from NT taff , exagerated or not over the time of dev .

Yeah i guess that pulling a red or blue Platform to change a corridor into another similar corridor changed the linearity and made it oblivion .
It had even less venue to explore , even discarding into account the place you explore multiple times in dmc 4

I hear what you but not a convincing example imo . There is change and there is doing the same thing simplified for better or worse in a new setting .
Kamiya and Platinum games took the dmc1 formula and what did they do with it ?Not just the characters and settings , two games that while retaining the spirit and core concepts of DMC1 , changed their gameplay in a profond enough way .
NT took the same stuff changed the focus of the difficulty and the setting...
We are talking about the kind of journalism and medias comparing whatever flavor of the year in a given genre , to any upcoming new game . You dont need to pay that kind of clowns then .
Street fighter 4 added ultra moves to its usual stuff ? Nevermind that Soul Edge already had stuff like Critical edge eons ago , Soul Calibur V just shamelessly copied it and "ruined the game" . etc etc .

I completely disagree with that sentiment and the comparison . Resident evil 4 was a revolution not only for the franchise but the video gaming industry .
