Thanks, that kind of thing means a lot to us :-)
When he handed his review in, our guy said "This is the easiest 10 out of 10 I've ever given".
I've played just under 30 hours, I can see why he said that. It's just...magnificent.
We'd say the Wii U list looks about the same as the Xbox 360 and PS3 one.
Multiplatform titles galore, and then then 2-3 exclusives.
Indeed, even the Steam version isn't available yet.
Not in Europe, the game isn't out full stop in Europe. It was delayed.
Very true!
But hey, at least it's coming to the West :-)
There's been ads for both games in trade magazines, but yeah - not sure I've seen much for LBP Karting full stop.
Which is odd, when most people consider Europe to be the "PS3 Zone" !
"There's a lot of guns in video games, huh?"
We'd love to hear your top 5, too!
Could throw in Paper Mario for 3DS, perhaps?
Nintendo Land is brilliant though, won't argue there!
We have a lot of love for Trials Evo too, and Mark of the Ninja!
Thanks, in our deliberations we were shocked to find most of us agreed on Journey being in the top 5. That multiplayer is a thing of beauty!
We're UK based, so that one will be on 2013's list.
WHAT a game that is, though. Holy shit, amazing.
Gravity Rush was another we considered, another good game - but didn't make the cut, sorry!
Revelations was a bloody good game, actually. Golden Abyss was discussed early doors, but didn't make the cut :-)
It's sold okay, but the thing is there was only 2 first party games really - Mario and Nintendo Land - with ZombiU (as a third party exclusive).
Perhaps the Wii U will have a sales spike for software in the new year, maybe there's a lot of consoles wrapped up ready to go under trees this Christmas?
Also, we've corrected an error, Nintendo Land is still in the top 40 (at 39) so there's ONE game there :-)
But you're right, ...
Indeed, the game retains all of that original humour and charm, and most of the core mechanics. Our first 10 minutes only shows the opening cut-scene and a bit of the first planet, so it's very light on spoilers :-)
Cross play again, btw. Buy the PS3 version, get the vita one too.
Agreed, this is bloody brilliant news - and more people can now play it!
We're going to try, but if not, I believe Sean (who reviewed it) is going to do a one-off special with Adam at some point.
