2013 is the Year of the multi console gamer. There is a game on each console that makes the console unique and worth having or at least playing.
When you consider the price of the PS3, I think it had a good launch year. It was 499/599 and people bought it and those are the ones that I can easily safe were Sony loyalist. And it was also one of the cheaper blu-ray players.
Portal 2 was the first real cross buy title PS3 users had.
Dream Drop distance was worth the 40 dollars to me, I did have some minor issues, but that didn't make me question why I bought the game at $40 dollars. I wish the game sold better though.
When you talk, you need to come from both sides and not just one. COD sells well on both the PS3 and 360.
Call of Duty is the highest selling on the 360 (If omit Kinect adventures) as well. According to VGchartz (Take as you will) 8 out of the 10 best selling games on the 360 are First Person Shooters. Grand theft Auto and Kinect Adventures, take up the other two spots.

I believe the PS3 is making a profit and that makes up for the Vita. Then you have the Memory Card sales that make a profit for Sony which is needed to play games on the Vita. So, I think when you factor in the memory card sales with the Vita, the Vita is making a profit for Sony.
There is software available. I just think the price of the 3DS is hurting the sales of the Vita. So, yes the price of the Vita needs to come down. I have always said it and I will continue to say it...
I don't have doubts about FFVS13 because of one man. Tetsuya Nomura, he has been part of some of my favorite games and has produced/directed one of one of my favorite series to date. So, my hope is still there, if he leaves before the game ships, then I will have doubts.
Also, it's their second game that has been in development the longest. Final Fantasy XII was the previous holder, with over 5 years in development and we know how well that sold and turn out.
This shows how off SE has been with it's fans. I hope next Gen they go back to what made them great and not push what made them worse this Gen.
The Vita, compared to the other handheld consoles is selling like crap, but the Wii U is selling like crap compared to the other home consoles. So, both of them are selling like crap.
If you love your mother you will get this game. But really, if you like story driven titles and want a game that has a connection, not just the main character but the people the character meets, I think this game is worth looking forward too.
I'm sure the story is deep, but what you can get out of the story is worth playing to find out.

Sly comes out in March Sadly. But they do have Ni No Kuni in the first week of February and a lot of third party titles throughout the month.
Why can't Mircosoft go with some different Disc type tech? Nintendo did it and their disc can hold 25GBs at minimum. So I believe Microsoft can come up with a type of disc that can hold a minimum of 25GBs as well.
They don't need to go with Blu-ray, just something that can hold a lot of information on one disc.

There is a difference between first party (Second) and third party exclusives. You also have to remember Nintendo has a good share of first party exclusives as well.
I still stick by what I said, I thought Nintendo doesn't pay for exclusives. Now we are hearing they have a 3 year exclusive plan for MH and I don't see where Capcom could use Mario in one of their games (So money was a factor in this).

I was never bother by the store or the network going down for Maintenance. I used the time to do other things and catch up on some school, some work related things, Talk with the family and catch up with friends.
(Generally speaking)I'm just saying if you purchase items from the store, you wouldn't like for them to do maintenance on the Network at that time.
That would mean they just got lazy and they didn't care to be creative. The Xbox name and the 360 names were kind of unique, so I'm expect something unique for the next Xbox.

This seems like information we already knew though. Rumors have been going around that Sony will announce their next console around may or at least before it. Microsoft has the E3 countdown clock. So anyone can come to those conclusions.

@LandShark, You forgot that most games don't need online capabilities to be played or to be enjoyed. So, While Microsoft takes that money and builds a "better infrastructure, security and expanding the capabilities of the Xbox 360," they still aren't giving us a diverse library of games to enjoy that are exclusive to that platform.
