I'm usually not signed on when playing games, unless I'm playing online or something. And as you said PSN/XBLA services are not reliable, they can go down for maintenance or whatever; making this type of DRM useless. At least with Steam, there is an offline mode, PSN nor XBLA has that feature.
Also, its not just PSN or XBLA, but the cable company or maybe another storm like Sandy hits again. Making this type of DRM annoying because I wouldn't be able to play the ...
That is how I feel. I usually have the game downloaded on both consoles, just in case I want to move from the bedroom to the living room or vice versa.
I try my best not to buy retail when there is a digital copy, but since this happened, I'm going to be limiting my purchases.

That right there has me a little worried about next gen and buying my games from the Network. I guess I will wait and see what Sony and SE has to say about this before starting the game up.

I can't wait for the day where we (The gamers) can purchase something in the Marketplace or the PSN Store without leaving the game or losing our place in a game due to hardware limitations.
OT: Nice numbers for Uncharted. Nothing beats free! First Jetpack Joyride and now Uncharted 3. I can see Sony pushing the PS4/PSV as a great way (Alternative to PC, IOS and android) to utilize the free to play model.
And the Unfinished Swan got 2. Talented developers are great for the industry.
Uncharted is a western title, how many western titles has Japan really bought and how many of them sold well. I can think of 2; God of War 3 and Dragon's Dogma.
No one was really expecting Uncharted to sell well in Japan, but it did do well in the US and EU. Japan needs Japanese oriented titles and that is what will help the Vita move consoles.

It could along with the price drop that happen a week ago. Both SS and TOHR has a limited edition bundle, so the Vita system sales should go up that week.
It should move some sales in the US as well as EU, if they drop the price of the system before the release.
It can also mean a better or different opportunity for them. They don't all have to do big AAA titles, they can start with indie games on the PSN, XBLA, WiiWare, PC, IOS, Android and when they get the backing or capital, then they can go on to big AAA titles.
They all have the knowledge to make a game and come up with a concept that can get the backing from Kick starter and what not.
I'm still sad this wasn't on the Vita.
With the 10 dollars for every 50 dollars spent on the PSN and the extra 3 months for buying a one year subscription, it was kinda hard to resist buying it. My subscription is good until April 2016 and will take advantage of all the sales that happen within the next few years for the Vita, PS3 and hopefully the PS4.
Is this the first console to get two types (Content from Bungie, a Shooter/mmo and from Ubisoft, an adventure) of exclusive content before the console has even been shown? or released? Not games, just in game exclusive content.

What did it do on you? I have had mine for over a year now and haven't had any problems that couldn't be fix with a hard reset(Holding the power button).

Those 4 games are not part of the IGC. So, I don't think you need a plus subscription to get those games.
Which is a good thing for those that don't have plus, but want some free games. And for those that don't want to renew their subscription, they still have access to those games.
Nice update. I will enjoy Spec Ops: The line. And damn The Cave came into the IGC fairly quickly. How well did it sell on the PS3?
This is a great time to pick up Sumioni: Demon Arts, I wanted that game to go on sale for a while now. Happy to see it for $7 dollars. Sony needs to release a bigger memory card size for the Vita and/or drop the price of the 32GB card, I need another one. I'm running out of space.
