I agree with you 100%. I have been playing the beta with the Sony 7.1 surround sound Headset and I've been blown away with the sound.
S,o they half as the game and wait for people to complain about how buggy the game is and then fix it a few weeks after release (More or less on the PS3).
The game is 31 days away, they could have tweaked the game a bit or at least released a Beta so they can get the feedback before hand so it can be fixed day one.
Also remember it's one version going gold and not all of them. Gears 3 went Gold a month before it's release and was able to sell over 3 m...
I think all games should have demos. I base my games off a lot of things and not just the demo. Screenshots, Previews, trailers and Gameplay videos all play a part. The plot and the concept of them game has to make sense from the time they talk about the game and announce it.
Also being able to rent games and borrow them helps as well. Love Gamefly and having friends that buy games day one.
For all we know it has already has gone gold and they haven't announced it yet. And with any feed back the Devs get, it will be put into the day one patch.
The 360 version of COD always goes gold first. I'm sure it was the same way for Black Ops. The PC, Ps3 and other platform versions will follow suit before the release.
Nontheless we are still getting the same game.
Really after seeing that video, I can't wait to play the game. I seen nothing wrong with the game. It's no Dark Souls or Elder Scrolls, but It looks good.
After playing Catherine, I willing to give Atlus 40 dollars for this. The falling a sleep and having to fight enemies or climb blocks is something I like with Atlus and the way it played out in Catherine worked out very well. And yes, I know this and Catherine are two different games.
It's not as bad as you guys think; Seeing as how you can delete the data once you finished the single player and earned all the achievements (if you are into that)and keep the MP disc installed if you are going to only play the MP for the duration of the time owning the game.
It's also an optional install, so you're not forced into installing it. Either way you will get a great game, installing it will just make it better (Load times and texture pop ups etc.).
I can give another one; Multiplatform games.
How about GT5 and forza for those that love racing games? Fable and Infamous for those that love Action/adventure games?
There was no unfair advantage. There weren't a lot of other games coming out on the 20th and the ones that were released are of a different genre and cater to a different audience.
Gears 3 was in development for 3 years and it shows that Epic Games took the time to make sure it was as great as their fans expected it to be. If you put the time in, you should expect great review scores, great sales and a great game.
Because everything gets more hits when you add a competitive console or game. Also there are more flame wars that spark up that way.
Go to a friends house and play their 360/PS3 and then think about which one you should be buying this holiday season.
One and three are a selling point for me, but if you tweak number four a bit, you can apply number 2 and 4 towards the 360. Not much people care for the 3D part.
Maybe it's the Sony smash brothers (Working title) game that most of us want so badly. I can dream right?

It doesn't because I didn't buy my PS3,360 or Wii because it was dominating in the sales charts or had the best exclusives. I bought it because it had games that I liked. Games that made the console worth investing in.
I commented because I wanted to voice my opinion on the subject. The subject at hand is "Will it be on top." Sales wise no one knows. By the PS3 being on top will it change my mind about buying one or selling it? No. So, theoretically speaking...
It doesn't matter to me. It's all about the games and that is what I'm getting from the PS3. Unique exclusives (I buy my Sony exclusives) and great multiplatform games.
All I need is a system that can play all those great games that are coming out this year and next. My PS3 can play them and that is all I need from a console. Sony is on top in my house and has never been at the bottom.

I agree and disagree.
A smart shopper/gamer pays attention to all retail and online stores for a great deal not just amazon. I found better deals at Toysrus and sometimes K-mart. Gamestop just had Move items and games for half off and 9.99. There is a deal everywhere, so I go where I get the best deal(s).
He did mention it was a right for those that preordered MoH and those from origin. For everyone else its a privilege. I agree with him. I just want to play the game, that's either through the beta or the retail game.
I bought this game over Castlevania and I'm glad I did. I loved the story and the game play. This is one of the few games this Gen, that I played more then twice.
While it didn't sell as well, I'm happy that I bought.

I was looking to get a second one so I can give my old one to my nephews and was planning on buying Uncharted 3. This helps me save a lot of money and still can get a second copy for my nephews.

Blame Sony for wanting Move support in the game. Not a bad thing at all, since the game was fun to play with the move. I hope their next game has move support along with the standard controller.
Whenever it comes, I know it will be great.
