This article has nothing to do with fanboys and I guarantee 3/4s of the people that reported didn't read the article otherwise they might not be making themselves look so ignorant.

It is really pointed at Microsoft's lack of variety in gameplay and if XBOX 360 gamers will actually support this game unlike Fable 2 or Final Fantasy!

Reporting this article for a title is dumb. Everybody who reported must fanboy with hurt feelings. Go cry somewhere else and let good art...

This guy is not a professional. He's a blogger. Like I said before, there's a difference between blogging and professional journalism. He doesn't present himself as a professional nor does his bio state that. Half of the stuff put on N4G is just meant to get a few website hits.

That is your main problem. You keep talking about professionalism and bias. Neither of those matter because "bloggers" are always bias and they're rarely paid to do this.

Maybe you d...

Okay. So what if this guy is tight with HHG?

HHG is still on the list. Why? Because lots of people hate him.

It seems that he / somebody he knows has experiences with multiple people on that list otherwise Rubenstein shouldn't be on there.

The point is...gamers in general hate on those five people for good reason.

I know people hate on HHG mostly because of his lies, but other than that, what bad is there to say about him? He works hard, he'...

Nebulas Zero...you just proved my point again.

HHG does this on his own. He doesn't have somebody footing the bill for him yet he still gets all this stuff on his own.

This article is on point. All the hate he gets come from those people who are jealous of HHG.

Geoff Keighley has backing. He has a televised show that he doesn't have to pay for. There's a big difference in professional journalism and blogging. HHG is somewhere in the middle.

I guess I don't get it here.

He points out his faults but gives him respect. The list is really just about people that gamers tend to hate. HHG is on the list because of that but that doesn't mean the writer has to hate him.

If it was personal list of people he hates, then so be it but I don't think he would have been HHG on the list if it was about favoritism. Michael Pachter's isn't that bad and to be honest...none of these except Rubenstein or Kotick's are reall...

Jeff Rubenstein is hated more by gaming journalists because of his ego behind the scenes from what I've been told.

Cliffy B...yeah...can't stand that guy either. I'm really surprised he didn't make the list.

I think HHG is probably the most popular gaming blogger. Companies actually fly him places to advertise for their games at live events. Come on. Naughty Dog, Tony Hawk, and even Major Nelson have been on his show.

Name some other shows that repea...

You're right. He does sing praises for HHG but I think that has more to deal with respect than anything else. The rest of the guys on that list have huge companies backing them while HHG is self made. Plus it's like honor among thieves. You don't go badmouthing your fellow peers in the industry...unless you're Jay Leno.

He does list HHG's biggest problem with crazy stories like the one with Uncharted and God of War crossing over.

I agree that digital media will be more popular in the future. Hopefully things will get cheaper too.

Interesting.

This has already been done before. I had two plastic vest-like devices with vibration sensors in them back when the original PlayStation was coming out. They always ended up making me really sweaty because the longer you play, the hotter they got.

This is not entirely a new technology or idea. Perhaps, they have honed it to be more precise. If that is indeed the case, good for them. I just hope they do their research before considering putting these on t...

@Strikepackage

I noticed you didn't bother to refute any of things the Obama administration has done while in office...yet you're quick to talk about socialism.

I also noticed that you insulted my man Incredible's intelligence by making a blanket statement concerning "informed" people.

How the heck do you actually know what George Washington believed in? Were you there? Did you have tea parties with the man? All politicians change their stripes...

The author of this article should have done some homework.

1) YOUR RIGHT TO FREE SPEECH ONLY PROTECTS YOU FROM THE GOVERNMENT. That's it. It doesn't stop your neighbor from silencing you. It doesn't stop your teacher from telling you to shut up in class. It doesn't stop that old man at the barbershop from telling you to shut your lip. We have laws in place to deal with individuals.

He clearly says "Tactical spending" which means Sony spends money. They just don't do it as much as the competition.

Your examples of Sony marketing more in Europe are great, but once again, it shows that Sony targets specific places as opposed to a mass global attack.

He's right. They don't spend money on exclusivity. They don't spend near the amount of Microsoft on ads globally but yet they're still close. He never said advertising wasn't important. It se...

I completely agree! Originality should be valued especially these days.

I like this game even more so because this is one and done. There's no sequels. No prequels. This is it.

To me, that says a lot about the product. They're going to put everything they have into this one game because they only have one shot to impress.

Where have you been the past week? It's called www.heavyrainps3.com.

Haven't you heard of the Four Day Challenge. Sony is absolutely brilliant with the marketing of this game. Why spend millions of dollars advertising a game when word of mouth is great?

That's the thing I just don't understand about people? Microsoft spends tons to advertise their games. GREAT! But that's just more money taken out of the profits.

Heavy Rain will easily sell 1 million ...

Nobody is arguing the fact that game would be better.

This had to be posted because Platform Nation wouldn't correct their own mistake.

Instead of correcting things and apologizing, they pulled the story and just got free hits to their web-site for some BS they posted here.

I think N4G might have to start requesting that visual evidence be produced when something like a "Gamestop E-mail" becomes the centerpiece for an article.

Don't you think news as big as this would have been put on the Playstation blogs. Let's not be gullible here.

The story is dead.

http://www.n4g.com/NewsCom-...

The web-site posting the story screwed up plain and simple. Just ignore their future articles and you'll probably be better off.

Thank you sir. One of a few here that have common and business sense.

5969d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Exactly.

Blame Platform Nation here.

The article is dead and buried. Instead of the web-site director issuing an apology for misleading the people, he just pulled it.

That says a lot about that site and the people who approved the story in the first place.

Funny to see them running articles on PlayStation 3 stuff anyway because they seem to be Xbots.

Gamestop e-mail...LoL

I think some of these people just don't think. I wouldn't even risk putting such a story up on my web-site. Don't blame N4G. Blame Platform Nation and their web-site director for approving the story to be posted.

Then blame everybody who approved the story here.

Anybody with common sense would have known that requiring anything extra of a gamer to play a game is just flat out stupid.

They would basically be shooting themselves in the foot.
