The console has been hacked several times before. It would not be entirely true to say it hasn't. That said, I don't think it will stay that way. To me...these are really workarounds until Sony can't actually stop it.

This has nothing to do with fanboys. It has to do with protecting intellectual properties. Gaming doesn't have to exist. These companies could stop making games and all these people could go work with software companies if they really desired.

If I released a game, I'd make sure I give out free DLC to any gamer who reported links or sites where my games are being leaked. Perhaps I would go so far as to bring them into the studio and give them a tour expense free on their part. I'd reward them like crazy so I could find every leak possible and shut them down.

Sony doesn't need to spend big bucks in order to sell games. Microsoft hasn't learned this just yet.
