I am the opposite. Campaigns tend to bore me these days (terrible AI and scripting) unless they are co-op, but MP games are like a drug to me.
I believe we can cater for all types of gamers and then everyone wins. Options are good.
Cinematics are ruining games. The problem with cinematic games are the linearity as they need to keep to a tight script. i want some freedom and options, I don't want my hand held throughout the game.
Who cares? It will just be another linear, interactive movie.
The difference is access. There is no warrant required if you already have a backdoor. ISPs have to release info after a warrant is received, the companies in bed with the NSA have already passed the info on in realtime, completely out of their control. If a warrant exists in this scenario it is purely for perception, as they already have the requested info archived.
This has ZERO to do with requested information by govt agencies, but this is used by the media to distract on ...
Sony is not a US company, I doubt the NSA has a back door into their data collection. This has nothing to do with complying to anything, this is about the information illegally collected and stored well before any (legal) warrant even existed. The idea is collect and store everything they can, not just specific things, everything and then it is available at a later date.
The is a big difference between Sony (Japanese) and MS, Google, Yahoo etc.(US). The difference is the bac...
Gullibility at its finest.
You have no idea and you are calling other people stupid? It is about the illegal recording and ARCHIVING of personal information that can be used against you even if you have done nothing wrong. It is not about you, it is about them. Kinect is always on.
Stupid is trusting these companies with our personal lives yet you think stupid is having a problem with it.
The PS3 was marketed as a blu-ray player for the first year. When it wasn't selling it had an ace up its sleeve of being the only firmware upgradeably blu-ray player at the time. Blu-ray was launch as incomplete hardware, and as such the early BD players never had the ability to be upgraded to BD2.0 which bought in extra web features among other things.
@Elit3Nick Fanboys are like religious people, of course he wants to convert people. Just more sad fanboy crap, these guys are deluded into thinking there is only one option, their option.
One exec!?! Surely not even a rabid fanboy can delude themselves into thinking one naive exec equals an entire company. You are delusional like any other fanboy. This site is getting unbearable.
One exec does not equal MS buying Rare thinking DK was included. Journalism for idiots seems to have found its target market on N4G.
We just wanted them to bridge the gap with the PC. Why did they have to over-complicate things?
If they dropped the idiotic DRM extremes and made kinect optional they would probably double their sales.
@ xHeavYx - Inferior hardware plus cloud processing may boost the performance over the PS4. I don't know if this is true and fanboys are currently out of control here but you asked a question and this is the answer.
The thing is, not one fanboy here, xbone or ps4, knows the answer to whether it will be able to hold its own or not when cloud processing has been optimised over time. We could be looking at something that will just improve and improve, and is nearly uncharte...
Allow mouse and keyboard, allow cross platform and you pretty much force people, who may not want to, use the mouse keyboard. Allowing mouse and keyboard on console would ruin the console experience.
When you don't have your greedy fingers in the console market, what else are you going to say?
Look at all the butthurt gamers, this is hilarious!!!
Except the PS2 was a pile of rubbish just as bad as the 360. They lost a class action for crappy optical drives, where a large percentage of them failed. People were making a living from repairing them.
History lesson over
Ever since Nintendo released the Wii, MS has slowly lost the plot. All they see is nintendollars and they want a big slice of that market. I don't thiknk they care about games any more, they just want that casual dollar.
Do they even hire any gamers? Or is it just execs sitting in front of their Excel drooling of potential sales numbers.
OR
Maybe they will make more money from surveillance for the NSA than they can with games.
Well they have lost a loyal customer right here.
no it doesn't
