If he searched for any preview, beta or even leaked review impression, he'd see that it plays very well. Clearly he doesn't know how to use google.
The review is pretty much just the score. And that's what is intended, as it's from a newspaper. But this is imo the opposite of what a review should be. A review should be as objective as possible and explain what is in the game. What features it has, how many maps there are, if there are any errors etc. Based on that the reviewer should either recommend it or not, where not recommending it should be limited to due it being rendered unplayable because of issues.
There should a...
No one should take that review seriously, cause it's not really a review and makes me ashamed to be Swedish. First of all, they obviously didn't have a clue about the embargo, are they even playing the review build? And he doesn't mention anything about the game, except for the fact that it doesn't have co-op (which somehow is odd?). He says what he thought the game felt like, and that's it.
He doesn't say what was good or what was bad, or even what the game contains. He didn't...
Killzone 2 isn't out yet, and therefore any comparison is void.
It's UCN (United Colonial Nations), not UNC. And yes, the story is fascinating and full of potential. You have to consider that all the ISA commands are independent of each other. There are probably well over 20 colonies, all with their own ISA command.
The entities we know of so far are:
UCN (United Colonial Nations) - UCA (United Colonial Army)
ISA Alpha Centauri
ISA Altair
Helghast
ICSA (Independent C...
The ISA are also Helghans. UCN personnel only settled on Vekta after the first extrasolar war. I have to agree that the UCN were the bad guys of the first war. They were simply jealous that the Helghan had been more succesful than them, and now generated a huge profit which they thought should've been theirs.
The tariff put on passing ships by the Helghan was indeed uneseccary, but why should they do everything for free when they have already payed the UCN for the rights of the...
8. I'm not too excited about DC Universe (it looks really good though). The Agency may suit my tastes better.
Agreed. I think everyone knows which will be the winner of this bout.
He was a bullet away from dying more than ten times in that video. And he even had to clip between different footage in the tank battle because he died all the time, and yet he only showed one death. Did he knife the tanks, too?
This needs to be on TVs, now! Along with some other adverts giving an overview of the story, different environments and multiplayer.
How are you guys feeling about my theory that Kratos is the son of the oracle and Zeus? It would mean that Kratos has some form of precognition powers. Perhaps what he says will happen is absolute truth? Why would the arrogant sisters of fate otherwise let him seal them, if they controlled his fate?
He said he would have an audience with them. He said he would return to the time when Zeus betrayed him. He said Zeus would pay. And he has said that in the end, there will be only ...
It doesn't have an official release date. 2009 is just speculation on part of the media and eager fans.
I'm leaning more towards early 2010 (March sounds familiar). I'll have it when Santa Monica feels that they're done, no rushing is needed.
I bet those will sell out pretty quickly. While I don't think that the dragon tattoo is very good looking, the boxart is awesome!
I think we'd all like some info on Team ICO's new game. :D
We saw these on the 4th of December. The attack dogs may be in the last levels, but I doubt it since you'll be in one of the ISA spaceships fighting off Radec and the elites who've infiltrated one of them by then. Another is on the train, and one is spent riding in the Mech.
If there is indeed a level where you're on foot trying to find and disarm the Red Dust nuke, then they might appear in that level. But the nuke still explodes, as is evident by the end of the single player ...
I don't think the environmental graphics are absolutely mind blowing in those screenshots. I think Uncharted 2 and Killzone 2 are better there, but we haven't seen much of this game in motion, which is where I think its true beauty will show.
The character models are on-par with Killzone 2's, if not better. And I can't wait to see these environments sparkling with life, full of characters walking around in their mo-capped animations, and shimmering particles and lighting in the...
They do, because OPM aren't biased. In fact, they usually give pretty low scores to Sony exclusive titles.
Uncharted [80]
Heavenly Sword [80]
Warhawk [65]
GT5P [80]
Haze [50]
Lair [50]
And they're not biased either. They don't claim these games will be the best games evar, and they don't pretend to know when games with unannounced release dates will be released. Great!
Fail article. The intro and ending are both CGI, presumably using "in-game assets". My guess is that what GG means with in-game assets is that they're either A: using the in-game models and polishing them up with CGI or B: making the models CGI from the ground up but of course have them look like their in-engine twins. If it's B, then everyone who assumes it's A are misunderstanding GG. And we've long since known that all other cutscenes are in-engine.
