Elda, that's cool. I've sold some consoles to friends before who couldn't afford a new one. It feels great to see your buddy enjoying the games/system that you had. I've had some great bonding moments because of videogames.
Great point! The guy I sold mine to said he always wanted one but couldn't justify spending 300-400 bucks.

I'm actually pleasantly surprised. I've got a 1080p TV and there's a difference in the smoothness of most my games. I noticed it first with Fifa and it's super smooth and looks better.
Someone dismissed it here as a placebo effect but if that's the case I don't care. Can't wait to get my 4k tv.
@ Clyde, are you watching the compressed comparison videos on a 4k tv? Even then you're not seeing a true representation.
I agree. The depth was higher quality along with the shadows. It wasn't washed out. I've noticed that the vr video app loads videos quicker and the iq is much better.
Have you noticed games playing better? Not higher frames per say but smoother play. FIFA use to have these weird Judders but not anymore.
Interesting... I just saw videos of an AMD card paired with a Nvidia card running "Ashes of Singularity."
My shield with the X1 is about the size of switch. It's a small console. The X2 is based off Pascal and not Maxwell, which comes with a smaller die. It's possible if they're using the new Tegra.
I believe it's the X2 as that's based off Pascal. On Nvidia's blog they say, "...includes an NVIDIA GPU based on the same architecture as the world’s top-performing GeForce gaming graphics cards."
What are the world's (Nvidia's) top performing cards? Pascal cards.

The SDE is less than other headsets due to the screen being RGB OLED and not pentile... but, whatever. Rage on!!!

I've noticed a good bump in performance on my Fury x playing Witcher 3.
Perhaps the reason Sony and Microsoft is coming out with new iterations is due to NX being more powerful than they thought?,,, I'm sure they make decisions based off more than just that but maybe it contributed a tad.
I completely agree! It appears to be another generic shooter.
The first two had their own issues but they were fantastic in creating a universe fleshed out with interesting stories.
