I think Microsoft is doing exactly what they did with the original Xbox. Cutting the love cycle short and releasing a next gen system. My hunch is the reason why they're short on exclusives this year is they're holding them for Scorpio, much like they did with the xbox.

I only have a 720p tv so that's the setting I have on. I haven't noticed any major stutters. I'm guessing I'd have issues if I had a 1080p tv.

All I can go by is my experience when I went to buy mine. I've been to a ton of launches ever since the N64 and each one sets the tone. I've seen a lot of people claim that only hardcore fans or scalpers were in attendance but what I saw was different. Obviously the majority were fans but I saw 5 families with mom, dad and kids (9-14 yrs) in tow excitedly waiting. To me it reminded me of when I was in line to get the Wii.

I was honestly surprised that demand was so high. When the Wii U launched I only saw people in their mid twenties but there were parents with their kids waiting to get a switch. I view that as a positive sign.
I think they will if the lines last night were any indication. I bought mine from Walmart, the same walmart I bought the Wii US from. BIG difference! There were around 50-60 people compared to the six I saw when I got the Wii U.
