A basic business class will teach you a business is out to be profitable, the support of the ps2 is not because Sony wants to support PS2 owners for the next 10yrs if it was like that where are all the ps2 commericals and definitive games? The truth is the PS3 hasn't made it into enough homes yet to be profitable. Come on guys you can't be that blind with passion for a company.
See, it's not logically sound to you guys because Sony has never had to cut support on something early. ...
I'm going to go and reserve this tomorrow.
Once again, loyalty is only a comforting afterthought in this day and age, especially in this industry. I know I've said it before and I won't be hesitant to say it again until everyone can get it through their skulls: game development is now more expensive than ever to facilitate, and for a triple A game that takes 3-5 years just to complete to be profitable (which, if you've taken any basic economics class, you'd know a business simply cannot survive without positive revenue and profit), a ...
I want to save and frame what you have this is the reason why I dislike Loyal Sony fans, because they act as though they have been stabbed in the back, and it gets down right annoying to hear the whole wine of "what about us thing" Its not about you, its about a business trying to be profitable period point blank.
I agree, but if Sony fans really feel that way, why are they blaming MS for it? Why not just point at Sony and be done with it. Don't point and call MS a shady company when this is the nature of business. When AOL and Time Warner merged Ted Turner was brought out ultimately losing a product he made famous (WCW). Universal brought out a large number of record companies merged them under one and then laid people off.
MS is just doing what is commonly associated with business. No...
Like they're entitled to something, but that reward is under the discretion of the company they invested there money in. The Rule of thumb, if you don't own shares in a company then the only thing you should be entitled to is the basic good or services that are meet by the laws of your country. Everything else is a luxury offered by the company.
I mean really now, a lot of these people that feel that way forget the meaning of big business. Just because you buy into their product or...
Remember a company can secure a deal of their own. All Sony had to do was say, hey if you going to give them exclusive content lets work out a deal that will have us getting something too. It doesn't have to be as big. Bottom line If I'm a company and I pay for exclusive content and you are using a rivals equipment, why would I want you to have it? Times have changed, these companies are fighting for shares of the market, and something has to be done to separate the competition.
It should piss you off when the unemployment rate is at an all time high rate period point blank. It's MS's choice to do what they want with their money. This same distasteful feeling you have for MS should go across the board for companies like Tyco, Worldcom etc. Businesses have been closing parts of their company and pouring money into others for years. Which goes to show you it's all about the money. Sony has laid off people restructured this is life. I really think if Sony would have rea...
Microsoft is free to do what they want. It's their money! The same as if you payed a large some of money to get a popular article plus a little more services availiable to you and you only... Keep in mind you paid for it. So, with you guys logic it's unfair? Wow, lets look at some facts before we start calling MS snakes, and ignorant
First, last time I checked couldn't Sony pay to have their own DLC? I don't want to hear that BS Sony is God its a logical company that will not com...
Who ever put ps1 or ps2 or even ps3 as their number one important system are either new to gaming, or weren't born in the era when house hold gaming was introduced.
What you guys are forgetting is nintendo made it fashionable for home gaming. Nintendo took gaming to a new leve made it possible for Metal Gear to be introduced Final Fantasy,Mega man, Zelda, Contra, Castlevinia... All were nintendo product.
They even have T-shirts with "know your Roots"...
It will out pace the ps2 as long as its profitable. I just don't see Sony pushing the PS3 for 4 more years at a loss I mean you can sell 50 million but at what point was the PS3 considered profitable to the shareholders? That's what a lot of you guys don't get. You can market, drop prices, but if you are selling it at a loss it becomes a problem. Picture explaining to the Shareholders we have sold 50 million consoles but posted a net loss in Millions, and next year we are looking to have the ...
The presentation of halo has always been so advanced. I have played my share of First Person shooters all across the board. Halo's music has always drew me into the game, the A.I. I thought shined a lot. I.E over power your enemy they drop their weapons and run in fear.
Today, not much has changed in the Halo formula, I don't know if that's due to the limitations of the engine Bungie uses, or their "if it an't broke don't fix it mentality". I feel, and you can disagree...
Lets just say for the sake of argument The MGS for PSP-Go is a huge disappointment, and Rising is a smash hit surpassing MGS4 in game play and story with a new innovate change to the combat and direction of what we have grown used to with MGS. Lets also assume they both perform equally on both systems (PS3,360). What will be the new in thing to say. So, I've compiled the top 4 phrases in multiple choice answer format
A) It's still not a true MGS game because it lacks the element...
Goty stuff when I play it. If it has any hint of what Halo3 was I doubt it.
I agree with you on that one. I wouldn't mind having them both come out with another installment. I think thats what I really didn't like about Infamous was the pace of action. I found my self exploring the city, sometimes aimlessly looking for the next big fight, or explosion. Since the game is limited to the interactions that are found in grand theft auto, like stealing cars to move around the city. I found running from roof top to roof top was very slow paced. Now, I agree too, the story a...
some of the boss fights weren't that bad. I found some of them to be down right frustrating like the mission you had to steal a tank to destroy the infestations on the building was down right crazy because you had to deal with so many enemies at one time
A little bit more. Infamous was an ok game, nothing jaw dropping about it or what people made it out to be. The only thing I actually liked about Infamous was the intro and story. Once the intro wore off, I found my self doing the something to improve my character, repeated city designs, and so so Enemy A.I. A lot of the side missions were lacking depth, and felt more like a chore that didn't add to the over all experience of wanting me to continue doing side missions. The way of going about...
Use reasonsing, Like I said before I actually want GTA5 to be exclusive for PS3, so when it comes out, and there is nothing ground breaking about it the majority of the disc is Uncompressed music with the actual game being able to fit on a DVD9 with the same play time as Grand Theft Auto 4 I want to hear what the new excuse for the expetations not being meet are.
I don't remember Xbox Fans crying when Splinter Cell was gimpted by PS2's Engine...... Oh yeah that's right during...
If enough of the software is brought to turn a profit. Lets be realistic we would have to dig deeper, into the software sales and see what kind of cut Sony would receive. It's been almost four years, and the PS3 is still taking a 100 dollar loss, what will it take for software to recoup the loss, I see Sony at best breaking even because most people forget Sony has to advertise pay it's employees, etc. I see Sony may never break even or the profit gain will be so small Sony behind closed doors...
I think it would be cool if it was a 3d game set on the 2d plane something like Little Big planet. I hate to speak about a game unrelated to the topic, but LBP did so many things right in it's presentation Other games should use the same formula to have beautiful scenes that you can jump in and out of.
