you analized the market, and came up with a valid conclusion. You understand the tipping point method. Every product has a tipping point after studying and earning a degree in Business, the loyalties of a company fly out the window. After watching 2007/2008 we can say that that was the year that MS tipped the numbers of systems were sold games were moving. Now, that the tipping point has been met consoles will not move at a fast rate. On the other hand with Sony, the price point has kept it f...
Know Uncharted was from this gen I have the game. However, you guys are sitting here being bias because of your loyalty for Sony. Which I understand, I have no problem with you guys loving and choosing ps3 as your console of choice. It's a great machine, but you can't dismiss Xbox because its not your console of choice.
Of course 90 percent of it's games are going to be sequels of Ip's of this gen. Xbox is not that old as a division compared to Sony. so you are going to see ...
@jerethdagryphon I've been saying this for the last two post. The 360 has reached it's tipping point the system has 800 games, and titles that sell millions. This proves the 360 has a following. Its just that its not as much as Sony's system. Sony has seen 3 gens of successful gaming, its going to have the bigger fan base. However, since the price just recently came down, now all the fans that couldn't wait for ps3 are now lining up to get one. In 2010 Sony will reach its tipping point, when t...
Just because you don't find anything interesting on the xbox doesn't mean the xbox doesn't have great games. The ps3 has brought solid games when the station has bulk of sequels, and dont sit here and tell me they haven't GOW3, MGS4,UNCharted2, R&C just to name a few. Xbox has great games gears, fable, halo, GTA dlc, Mass effect, viva pin, Lost odd, even Blue dragon was good Forza not to mention some of the download content you can find on live.
Just because they don't app...
The reason why no kid wants an XBOX360 is because the system has hit its tipping point. You guys sit here and say how much it sucks when their are so many great games that appear on the system its ridiculous. Take your sony shades off, we all know people were waiting for the ps3 to be 299. Many people held off because of the price point The ps3 has not reached it's tipping point. Fact more people are fans of the Sony brand because of its dominate presents in the market, and familiar line up...
Jet Set, Jet Set, Jet Set Radioooooooooooooooooo. I still have that game in hopes they will make it backwards compatible
Overly excite. Most of the exclusives I have played for PS3 really didn't have legs like I thought they would. Infamous was good for all of three days, the repetitive nature of it killed it for me. KZ2 was short lived in my house hold also. Maybe I'm losing my interest in gaming because latly, there hasn't been a game that made me jump up and spend 60 dollars. I haven't played Uncharted Two yet. However I do have faith in GOW3, Ratchet, you know the games that made ps2 famous and I was an XBO...
It's in fact a good and fresh direction that was needed the music, and graphics really set a great tone the only thing I am disappointed with is the length
I have been playing the single player campaign all day, and for those who are complaining about the graphics really need to play the game and see for themselves that the graphics are very well shaded to fit the chemistery of the story. I actually like odst better then Halo 3 simply because it has a better balance of story and game play. The fact that it's an open world makes it even better because you are not restricted to one path.
The Sky line is beautiful at night some of the ...
and to be honest, the game is very good the story so far has been a lot more emotional then what I've played in past Halo games. while you are the rookie you will feel a sense of loneliness while you search areas for your peers. The sound track so far pulls you in emotionally, with out making it seem corny.
I was very happy with the graphics. Although the engine is old, the scenes are very polished. cars explode the shadowing is beautiful, and the skyline is especially good to look...
You can never tell what the next flag ship game is going to be. People can assume, but never truly know we are so used to Microsoft's attachment to Halo.
Lets be clear Halo's sales is through the roof. They are not going to kill it it will still be their flagship series. look for other games to add to the flagship the same how Tekken, twisted metal, were Sony ps1 flagship titles, then came along Metal gear, Final Fantasy, GTA. Lets not even get into Nintendo's list
This is not a review, but more of an opinion of Halo as a whole. It's clear that the guy doesn't like the franchise, and his bias takes the attention off the main subject, the review of Halo ODST. Readers are now going to judge the writer for his clear bias for the game. Ultimately distroyed the writers credibility, and now the reader has no clue what to think about the game because they are now passing judgment on the writer.
If reviewers just eliminate their personal feelings fro...
I understand how you feel Midgard, those are the basic rules of writing a review. All though people are bias, it can't be shown in their writing in a review. Now do writers follow the rules 100%, no. You can tell what an effective review is, and what an ineffective review is. A great review gives the reader the choice to go and try the product because the writer list a balance of negatives and positives.
When a writer doesn't do this the judgment is then past on to the writer. Tes...
and learned a long time ago when you review anything your personal point of view shouldn't exist with in a review. Anything that starts with I or me when going into detail about the review gives the reader more of an opinion about the writers personnel experience with the game not what the reader should expect. For example, If I played Halo ODST I have to leave my bias opinions at the door, and use pro nouns to describe an experience. For example, " you may find Halo ODST, a bit of a let...
Lol, and after he roasted the game he goes and says that. Would you trust someone like that around you? Talk mad smack, and then turn around and give it high praise?
Did the guy actually play the game though? Most of the stuff he talked about were more complaints that deal with resolution. I want to know what the controls felt like, how was the planets atmospher was the character well suited through the game. Give me something. I understand Halo should be given the royal treatment, but just talking and comparing it to Halo 3 is not a review. I can look at youtube videos of ODST and give you the same review.
This N4G is not a review, Not to tak...
Naw, I disagree games such as Fable, M.E, would say other wise although they were also on Windows based computers, they still sold solid numbers to be other pieces that can fit along side of Halo giving MS a winning formula. Whether you liked it or not.
DVD is not a poor format of choice at this time. I really hate to get off topic, but this whole DVD poor formate is getting real jaded. All Blu ray has done so far is given us longer cut scenes, and uncompressed music, all on one disk. That's not a huge leap compared to DVD's replacing CD's as the supporting formate. Now, if you have played Halo, it has always had a polished presentation with its music, and the story. The game play may have been lacking in areas, or may not have live up to ev...
Jleack. There is nothing wrong with magazines justifying or reassure the price tag for the game in question. See, like you they felt the game may have not lived up to its price tag. So, they are letting the customer know, " Hey, we just played it, and beat it, and to tell you the truth, the game is wroth 60 bucks." The difference between their opinion and yours is they have played the game.
So, to really push your it's worth 39.99 claim as you go through every Halo ODST...
The reason why is because a car with no wheels can't be test driven. The fact that they can't see the ending doesn't mean they can't play it through. I mean, how long does it take for a reviewer to give their honest opinion on how good a game is.
Just take a 10th of a point off, and keep it moving
