I get it, it is a far cry from what we are used to, but I like the direction so far. I also like the semi open world feel and first person view. I’ve also noticed that in a few areas around the village there are a few Umbrella trademarks.
They dislike it because like you said it’s a leg up, I’m sure if the shoe was on the other foot the chatter would be different.

They need to revamp the assassin’s creed franchise to be honest, and it should start with the original. Not that it’s a terrible game, but as redundant, and predictable it was. It deserves it
As they should. A company should continue to invest in its strengths and infrastructure, while trying to innovate to appeal to consumers. As specially when competition is aiming to strength itself to gain more market share .. only the arrogant cough cough ( apple) assumes they can continue to win over the consumer with just brand loyalty.

Let’s be honest, the 360 for what it was and what it went through was a huge success. Statements like it failed “but I owned three of them myself” further proves how successful it was. Who in their right mind would spend money on a system with a 30 percent failure rate more than once? ( mind you the system had an extended warranty due to red ring issues so there was no need to buy one just replace it.) the system gave us some great gaming Bio shock, mass effect, gears, etc. yes it slowed down...
That was a dark time in video games

I really didn’t like the game to be honest. Playing it felt more like a choir as specially those Bad camera angles.
Ninja theory did an excellent job with the first Hell Blade! The way they tackled mental illness, and incorporated that into the game’s landscape, dialog, puzzles, and actions balanced with the story was excellent. I would like to see more variety with puzzles though.

Yeah boy!!! I used to work at XS New York it was the Dave and Busters before Dave and busters. This and time cris two were the go to games at the time. I can’t wait to play this one.
I love the plot twists associated with them. I can also say, one of my fav parts is from the original where an NPC is angrily knocking, the door explodes, and his head rolls down the stairs. The game was ahead of its time where the AI was actually really good (set a person on fire and watch them run to water to put it out)
It’s alright, nothing to run home and brag about.
Summed it up beautifully. I enjoyed it, as specially the second play through and watching the live action watching it from the protagonist perspective was a good touch. Lime you said it was ahead of its time and attached to the toxic issues of the one.
My biggest knock to MGS is its useless overly complex nature. For example, why are there so many use less items? To me, Metal Gear was best when it only offered items that helped you progress through the game. What the hell i need a cardboard box in the middle of a forest? How does making my horse s.ugar h.oney i.ce t.ea on the fly help me progress through a stage?
