That was always clear, because it was only ever one retailer. If this was driven by Sony then it would have been all retailers, but it wasn't. Simplygames has just been caught out.
Hmm. Reading this I realise that am tied of these these types of articles and particularly the endless "my dad's better than your dad" comments that follow.
Bring on Nov and the release of both consoles so we can all get on with actually playing games on whatever our preferred NextGen console is.
One little point. As an Australian I can say that the gum trees look more realistic in GT6. Forza has made an attempt, but from these screenshots at least, they don't look quite right, perhaps they look better in the actual game.
Still both games look great and more than anything I am glad that Bathurst is finally getting the love it so much deserves.
Interesting. I played the PS3 version of was disappointed at the visuals. However, looking the mid-range PC stuff here, it doesn't look significantly/noticeably better.
Was expecting much more. Hmm, will wait and see PS4/high-end PC before passing judgement.
There is definitely a risk at the moment, always will be with new hardware being released. If PS4 and XBO don't succeed (similar to Wii U) then the whole market will dive, but I don't think it is a likely scenario at this point.
PC gaming is buffeted buy lots of casual gamers (e.g. CandyCrush), they are not all hardcore, and because there is a large performance gap between PC and Console at the moment which is about to be greatly reduced. Consoles are at end of their ...
I really don't understand the comments in the article. How is this different to any business venture (and yes games are a business)? Why does the gaming industry feel special?
It's like developers think that gamers owe them a living. They made the game, so we must buy it. Life is not like that.
It is risk Vs reward. Choose your acceptable risk level, and make the best game you can for that budget. Don't throw all your eggs in one basket etc. It i...
If Flower couldn't run at 1080p / 60fps on the PS4 then there would be severe problems.
Wake me when there is more than concept art.
To say David Cage hates videogames is beyond stupid.
I don't see why some people feel that games have to fit inside some preconceived notion of theirs. If that were true, then there would be no innovation or diversity in games and we would all still be playing pong. Long live developers who push boundaries and pre-conceived ideas.
bazynga!
Personally, the only one I will be picking up is Beyond Two Souls. Assassins Creed IV will have to wait for PS4.
Have played the last two Batman games and enjoyed them, but find the combat gets tedious after a while. Not in any hurry to pick up Origins. Maybe down the track.
The Nurburgring may have something to say about the best track in the world. But Bathurst is special and would be Top 5. One of the most interesting/exciting places to see people race. Can't wait.
Well, GT6 just got my money. Bathurst is such an iconic track in Australia. I have been waiting to see what they have done and it looks amazing. They even bothered to put in the gum trees! So the scenery is authentic. A smile on my face.
The Minecraft on steroids aspects in EverQuest Next look really interesting.
Time to buy a console?
Gotta hope with all the overclocking they are doing that it doesn't cause overheating down the track.
For people who one the Wii U probably true. The key question though is will people be enticed to buy a Wii U for a game that they have already played.
Wifi transfer between PS3 and Vita will be great. You could do it with a PC, so it was silly that you needed a cable for the PS3.
The article says that it was censored to get a PEGI 16 rating, but in Australia it has an R18+ rating. So I am curious to know if the Australia version perhaps not censored. Can't find anywhere that says though.
I kind of agree. Clearly it is a game that will polarize people. There will be a many who get it and love it, and others who wont and hate it. I fully expect that there will huge variation in the reviews. Far more than most games.
That's what happens when you do something different and pushing boundaries.
