when did i say i got this for ps3? i purchased this game for PC because PC is always going to be the best platform for valve games. MY OPINION: HL2 was the only thing worth playing in the kit. Best muliplayer experience in 07? HA. As if. Portal is a school project and shows it. The game would be much better if it was just a weapon for a different game. Than again, i prefer action over puzzles, so there inlies the problem with me possibly enjoying a shoddy FPS puzzle game....nice motion blur? ...

this whole thing could be avoided if reviewers went back to reviewing games AFTER release. That way they could say whatever they want, and they wouldn't have to be under the control of the companies NDA. I think reviewing a game before it's released is kind of ridiculous anyways, as the general public cannot disagree.

in the orange box worth playing for me was HL2. Shoulda just ignored it. All my friends were acting like portal was gods gift. I played a bunch of it, but decided it was worse than driving thumbtacks under my fingernails. And TF2 was fun......for 10 minutes. BACK TO CONAN WITH ME!
VF is for a pretty specific group. Its not really good for people to button mash with compared to tekken or SC, it takes a long time to master any character. Dont get me wrong, SC and Tekken are great games and i love them, but VF requires lots of patience and skill.
i would say if you want stupid test minions there are lots in SF with pot cards.
An EA port that looks superior to the 360 version(way more detail in the characters, realistic sweat, etc..) and yet utilzes none of the SPU's. Hmmm.... so, we have a game that was released on 1/6th(or less) of the PS3's power looking better than the 360 version...interesting... I honestly have no idea why this is even discussed anymore. It's very clear that the ps3 is more powerful. It's 7800GTXalike GPU kills the x1600 in the 360. And cell vs. intel....well the 360 gets murdered there too. ...
however, the PS3's CPU kills my entire system. Hmmmmmm...

well, AMD it is. AMD's is said to be cheaper than this, and sport GDDR5 memory. Sure the high end nVidia will probably be more powerful, but AMD's new chip is looking to beat the 9800gx2 at much cheaper prices. No need to think about this one, AMD for the win this time.

it depends. You would want to use grayscale bump mapping for really small bumps, normal mapping for larger ones, and so on. So please, stop trying to act smarter than people by correcting them, its annoying. On a different note, uncharted wins in graphics without a doubt. You would have to be some sort of fanboy to argue against that, or partially blind.
these new screen look good BUT UT3 engine still looks best on UT3 for PC. You need a great PC to make this claim obvious though. But running at 1900x1200 with AA and everything maxed completely kills GOW1 or 2 on a console. Plus the lighting on the PC is still cleaner and sharper. But this console job of the UT3 engine is looking good. So, hurray for everyone i guess.
i agree with their damn characters. Gawd, they couldnt get more annoying/cliche if they tried. Oh well, i love the realism(even though its not 100% realistic).
