@tom
people hate kinect because
- price
- shift in attention from core games to casual games at ms
- mandatory online
- privacy concerns
- lack of support even though its the core of the console
thats about it
everything you mentioned are competitive online shooters
almost every competitive multiplayer title to date aimed for 60 fps, period!
the list goes back to the supernintendo (mariokart was 60fps for example)
infamous is a singleplayer experience and doesnt have the same need for a high fps target.
therefore its only logical that the devs aim for more fidelity and overall effects since these provide a benefit to your singleplayer focus...
pretty easy
to not make the offset between the platforms that obvious.
we all know titanfall is graphicswise oldtech (not bad at all btw)
but that way you wont have to face raging fanboys fighting over theyre platform choice
so many words,
so much effort to write this down

pontless
its an unwritten rule that sarcasm hardly works in written form
Who gives a ****
Great innovations in this game, new games and ips is what we need yet some still complain ...
it is indeed a common effect of the ue engine back in the days, but that has changed.
those games mentioned have different approaches to materials and shaders in general.
Unreal (in the past) has mainly used specular effects to push the normal maps so you can see all the small details. It was a sellingpoint for the UE since it was one of the first engines available for licence that had heavy use of normalmaps, wich offered an incredible new depth in material ...
had that problem too its a faulty ps4 - happens :(
if your unit makes loud fan noises get a replacement
Not defending the box but he talks about the whole "design" internals hardware, cooling, layout and exterior - not only about the look of the brick
And sorry to say that but its not a very high achievement compared to the much slimmer powerbrickless 220volt lownoise and still higher corespeeds ps4 - wich even looks better (in my point of view)
well if that actor would have a sister same age its really damn close
afaik the AI players will drive the story further,
its nearly impossible to get real players to do cinematic like actions.
therefore you need to controll some players on the battlefield in this case an ai to get that singleplayer feeling right in multiplayer matches.
i think thats the main reason behind it since it will offer scripted sequences while the mp is running in full effect
they clearly said that "However, the developer doesn't recommend that users try it out until next year unless they're already "an intrepid Linux hacker". "
its a beta build and you should know how to handle linux.
wait until next year then
you are right, but not every system is registering or going online. Its as you said a rough but kinda accurate assumption.
i do share your point completly and i didnt say that theses numbers are not valid, hence i started with "please consider".
i just wanted to remind people that these are not official numbers even if its pretty close.
sorry for playing the nitpicker :D
bubble
please condider one thing.
no publisher or manufacturer in the world can tell you how many units the customers bought. They simply lack the data, since most retailers dont hand them out.
what they can though is tell you how many THEY sold to the Retailmarket (every unit shipped to retail is a +1 in sales for the publisher even if it gets returned by the retail market).
same with sony and nintendo so dont bring up any famboy bullshit please <...
to be fair usa is not xbox country in general.
they had an immense supporter amount with the 360.
1 head headstart and gears of war did they're job pretty well.
before the 360 ps2 was the dominant platform, and it looks like its "just" goin back to sony
man im pumped
where have you been the last 7 years.
eversince games are patchable over the internet (consoles) we have such an environment of rushed games
INDEED,
the consoles offer a solid 64 bit architecture wich couldnt be used in the same way for pc devs since to many users dont have a 64bit OS and Hardware
Every (almost)investment model is based on a short logic
"i give you money because you dont have any, and in return you give me back more when your successfull"
this simple logic is completly wrong with kickstarter (sadly)
there is a clear misconception here to WHY people fund projects on kickstarter and whatnot in the first place.
I think:
its NOT only because they want the product offered, almost ...
