I think Phil is dealing with what happened when a brand is under a bigger umbrella company that doesn’t care about creativity or consumers just money. He saved it and had it in a good place and then was forced to go third party and then upper brass made all these layoffs. Not saying Phil has no blood on his hands but I don’t think its his vision.
Sony is also currently dropping the ball. All they have coming is the ghost sequel and I’m hearing it’s not nearly as good as the first game. Things have been trending down since Layton left. Not as bad as Xbox but not great.

The only thing I don’t get that I want with game pass are Sony exclusives which have been few and far between in the last couple years, and I have a ps5 for that. People can say whatever they want, but i think game pass is amazing for my personal needs and tastes. I’m not claiming it’s for everyone, but the value to the consumer is in debatable and I’m a consumer so I’m good with it. Whether it’s the best thing for profit margin or devs are different arguments.
I have absolutely played 150 games in the time I’ve had game pass. I didn’t say I 100 percented every game.
It’s basic math if you multiply 150 x 70 you get 10,500. not every game was 70 so subtracted that to bring it down to 9000. I didn’t say one untruth. You are the dishonest one if you think it’s only 2000 worth of games. That’s not even close to true.

That is ridiculous lol it’s not even close. Sony doesn’t even put games in day one. Say what you want about Microsoft and there is plenty to say, but subscription service wise it isn’t even close. Devs can say what they want but like I’ve said I played 9000 bucks worth of games for roughly 1000 bucks. It’s incredible value whether you like it or not.
The stats would disagree with you. Way more than kids play cod. I don’t play it myself other than the campaign, but definitely not just kids. The fact that they chose beavis and butthead further proves that. Kids weren’t alive when that show came out.
You do know that the most played games on PlayStation this year have been games published by Xbox right?
They’ve been winning all year selling their games to Sony players and that’s great because Sony doesn’t drop new first party games much anymore. Sony fans spending more money on Xbox games than Xbox fans. Which suits me fine. Talk keep buying and I’ll keep playing them on game pass.
I think everyone did. Horizon was just a better game and making two racing games just sort of doesn’t make sense even if one is arcade style and one is a sim.
I’d like to see what would happen to Sony sales wise if they put their first party stuff on ps plus day one. The fact that they don’t sort of says it all. All these people saying buy games buy games are great but they don’t have the option to not buy them if they want to play them.
I don’t disagree but helldivers is sort of a niche title so I doubt it sells like

I never said it’s where they want it. No company is satisfied with sales no matter how good they are. There is always a ceiling that’s more desirable, but gamepass is profitable and to say it isn’t is just silly. They’ve messed up a lot in other areas but Game pass is the best subscription service that exists.
I’m not saying Microsoft is a paragon of virtue, but if you’ve ever owned a business you would know that you don’t spend millions on one venture in order to kill another venture you’ve also spent millions on. If anything your merge the two.
I’m thinking of just going exclusively to PlayStation. I love the Xbox ecosystem and game pass, but I can’t help but to think I’m gonna have to switch anyway and now that all
Xbox games are multiplayer there’s no reason to stay other than game pass which Sony has a lesser version of but still an option.
They are not the same thing at all. Xbox is only a small portion of what Microsoft is.
