I didn’t say the protagonist had to be straight or white. Im saying mainstream gaming media want anything but that just so they can wave their enlightened flag. They equate art with diversity. I applaud someone having the guts to say leave the politics out of the review process. But that won’t happen, especially with the extreme left making up the majority of games media. The extreme right thinks that games are bad if they contain any form of sex or violence and the extreme left think every game should have a gay/trans/feminist/minority represented as the main character in all games. There is no pleasing either side, so sadly it won’t happen.
They’ve proven they don’t have to have major third party aaa support but if they could get up to par power wise they could probably dominate.

I’m tired of Nintendo getting a pass on underpowered consoles and lack of competent online play and lack of achievements/trophies. They definitely have the best first party games, but if they would compete graphically they would mop the floor with Sony and Xbox.

I’ll say this and of course I’ll get blasted but I was at work tonight and I hear this 65 year old dude faking about modern warfare 3 coming to gamepass and I just smiled because when I was a kid no one 65 was playing games and whether you’re an Xbox or Sony or Nintendo fan it’s cool to see the reach of video games now.

Well it’s factual that Xbox is shifting their strategy to multiplat, Sony has started to put most of their stuff on pc (which never used to happen with their exclusives) and Nintendo is the only one of the big three not really doing any of that because they don’t have to.
