I consider myself a trophy hunter in the sense that they provide closure for me.

I've never picked up a game I knew I wouldn't like because trophies are easy to get nor do I use it to gauge how good a player is based on the trophies they have or don't.

After reaching 100%, I decide if I want to spend more time with the game, I don't use it as a hard cut off point or anything. It also serves as a reminder/log for me as to what I played and...

"Why even buy a playstation when you can the games on PC 3-5 years after release??"

That seems like a loaded question, there are plenty of reason to own a Playstation. If you're willing to wait 3-5 years, all the more power to you.

Days Gone took 2 years.
Horizon Zero Dawn took 3 years.
God of War will be 4 years.
Uncharted will be 6 years.

It's hard to say for sure. I wouldn't expect it any earlier than 2024 though. Playstation buying Nixxes doesn't guarantee there are going to be more ported games than before, it just means they won't have to hire as many outside studios to do the work.

This sounds like the next natural step in open-world games. A large part of the appeal for me personally comes from exploring the world.

Once you clear out an outpost in Ghost of Tsushima, there is a little cutscene with all the people coming back and it was a really small thing but it added a lot for me.

I feel like sometimes people tend to just rush towards that marker on the map and forget to actually enjoy the game.

I imagine that's exactly why you bring someone like Riley Russell aboard to manage this. He should know that side of Sony inside out and the partnership between them just makes sense.

Seems like an odd choice. I know I would personally just love to just see Kojima work on more games. Creating a whole other division based on the one game you released so far makes me feel like there is a lack of focus.

I know Kojima loves his music and movies but what is the end goal here? Hard not to be a bit skeptical about it.

Hopefully we get a bit of a tease as to what he's working on at the award show in couple of weeks.

I'm not really sure who this is for. If people want to play as Spider-Man, there is a better version of that character already on Playstation consoles.

It doesn't look terrible though, it seems just fine as long as you don't compare it to Insomniac's version. The announcement trailer failed to make the character look exciting but there are some neat things in that gameplay video, the take down at the end in particular is pretty neat.

You can expect one of these articles moving forward every single generation now.

I feel like we are at a point where developers are not being held back by the hardware anymore when it comes to conventional games. I think we are going to see a race for talented game developers soon, it already started in Canada, companies are trying to attract talent with incentives.

Dual Sense has also been a game changer for me, I was skeptical when it was announced but...

Looking forward to all the new announcements, Sony in particular has been pretty quiet. Not counting God of War, Gran Turismo and Horizon which are coming out next year, we only really know about what Insomniac is working on.

Right now RT is done at a sacrifice of either the frame rate or resolution, both of which I value above RT in a game. I think it's great for photo mode but it's not something that you can appreciate as much during gameplay unless it's used in an interesting way .

I'm sure this whole act will work on someone who hasn't been around here for a while but it's getting really old.

You have used up any good will you've had with me at this point, you're not much better than that guy that creates multiple accounts each day to bash Nintendo and Sony fans, at least he can admit what he stands for.

You're not fooling anyone.

For sure, I'm certain that article complaining about the Halo battle pass earlier today was "old" news and needed to be taken down. Halo's online progression has been bothering people for years now.

@Orchard - The obvious is to pick PC and PS5 to cover majority of games.

The obvious is NOT to go with PC and Xbox since they share the same games, you can try to spin this however you like but you're defending someone who is either being dishonest in his choices or someone that clearly made a logistical mistake.
Neither of which makes you look good.

For someone who went out of their way to purchase a PS5, you sure seem to hate it. Perhaps...

Perhaps it's a problem that it's a F2P game to begin with.

It's designed as a free to play game top to bottom. The gatekeeping and timers and challenges are all bothersome things that you find in a mobile game.

When the single player comes out they will expect you to pay full price for it they are trying to squeeze every penny out of Halo fans with their anti-consumer practices here.

I'm sure people would have been just happy to pay full price for SP and MP without all the F2P garbage thrown in.

So, both are overpriced is what you're saying.

You can buy a whole game for $10.

Why is the article praising Steam getting Sony and Nintendo fans upset?

1557d ago 1 agree6 disagreeView comment

Visually it's bland and lacks any polish like a bad game you would expect on PS3 or something. Seems like a quick cash in on the DBZ name.
Might be fun though, if they can deliver on the concept but I don't have my hopes high in this case.

I can't even keep track of all the Ubisoft games anymore, they are just starting to blend together.

Tom Clancy games in particular, I feel like a new one is announced every 2 months and they all look and feel the same.
