I dont think you understand what having a bias is. Since you own EVERYTHING BUT the console I would say you do have a bias because you can afford it obviously with your 1080ti and list of other consoles but choose not to spend the money on this ONE thing... That is the LITERAL definition of BIAS.

Yeah its not that hard. I bought the switch because BotW, hugely disappointed weapon deterioration speed alone makes that game not perfect. Mario is awesome 10x better and more fun in comparison but still not 10/10 material. The controls alone are an issue that knocks it down to a 9/10 for me.
You can still like a game and not agree with how people are portraying it.
You should give it another go. There are is a lot of fun to be had with the game. But yes I do agree the game is being rated higher than I think it deserves.
I am liking this game but I am still missing the AC of old. I liked what AC was and though there have been many improvements they have removed some of what I loved out of the game.
The skill tree is a joke and just makes you take longer to unlock skills. The climbing is a joke that requires no thought or effort at all except for pyramids which you can see a clear and easy path. The story is fine but the lines are painstaking with cut scenes that are just as cringe bringing ...

Define successful? How many do they need to sell of the One X to be successful? Also it is not targeted at a broad appeal it is targeted at a narrow market. Also like others I could care less if I am the only one who buys the system. It will work as intended for my uses.

A long time because there is no real way of fighting back. Sony just did and they basically say Sony ENDORSES domestic violence. Which we all know not to be true but that's how it works. There wouldn't be one. It would live in development hell getting delayed over and over because there wasn't enough inclusion of some group and by the time they add it in the agenda would change and require the game development to start over to pander to the "new" issue of the week.

The start to finish story is pretty short. If you just go after exactly what you need without any extra exploration six hours seems like a reasonable time but I would say probably closer to 10 hours for those of us not platform pros.
That being said and piggy backing on Dantes comment this game is much less "beating" the game and hugely based on finding moons and secrets.
