And here we always thought the government would be the ones to censor the people. No need for them to when we do it to ourselves
This sounds like esram and the power of the cloud all over again. When PS4 pro had checker boarding the Xbox fan boys were screaming how this is not true HD and Sony is behind. When Microsoft tries to make up for a shortcoming with other hardware/software solutions there seems to be no problem and it is taken as the best thing since sliced bread. I just don't understand the logic at play here
I don't think they will remove pay to play online completely since they make a lot of money from it. I think they will roll up all their services into one sub and get rid of the paywall for free to play games.
I for one am not mad that people enjoyed a game that did not appeal to me. I am glad for the reviews because I would have been pissed off if I bought a game that I did not like. The story is big for me and I didn't like the direction they went but others did. To each their own
Mrsolidsteel20,
Exclusives themselves being anti-consumer is too broad of a stroke. Companies that outright buy exclusivity from a third party or buy a timeframe of exclusivity is anti-consumer(i.e. Call of Duty). In this case the developer, Sucker Punch, is owned by Sony therefore whether Sony wants to put those games on other platforms is up to them. Exclusivity, happens every day (cars, phones, computers (MAC mostly), etc.) but no one complains about how anti-consumer th...
It would be one thing if Abby's dad was just passing along and Joel randomly killed him however Joel killed Abby's dad to save Ellie. Joel saved Ellie's life and now the person who killed him gets to get away? Makes no sense. It would have been a better story for Abby to kill Joel and then find out her dad was planning on killing Ellie and that is why he died. Hell, Abby apologizing, begging for her life, and explaining that she didn't know her dad was trying to kill Ellie an...
Seems to have solved everything for Abby so..
I don't understand why this opinion post is even at the top of this site. The writer makes their opinion known without providing all the facts that are available about the system. The VCS is supposed to be a hybrid Atari machine and whatever OS, besides Apple, you want on it. It is supposed to play PC games but the specs aren't there to play a majority of them. The only thing I could think of is that this could be used to play a bunch of emulators and maybe android games. So it woul...
So about the height of a 17" laptop
This explains why Sony knew what the load times were for the Spiderman game using the PS5
I guess Sony could have made it a black rectangle since those seem to be the rave these days. /s
I think the gamers that these companies are interrupting or shutting down service for will just be pissed off. Who better to direct that anger onto than the movement that these companies are pandering to. Just my 2 cents.
I will never play this game due to the Rootkit it installs on the computer and is constantly running even if the game is off. I don't need to play a game that badly.
I like how the guy states that he feels that it will be a matter of diminishing returns with no type of reasoning behind that statement. The article headline should reflect that this is an Xbox developer trying to downplay the significance of the PS5 SSD over the Xbox SSD.....shocking. This would be like writing an article where McDonald's states that there are diminishing returns in regards to plant based substitutes.
@obscure_Observer
Yes? Why wouldn't they be presented on the hardware they are being programmed to run on? Too much false advertising in video games and people are now okay with it. Makes no sense.
I don't like the fact that they are splitting the game up. However, those people saying that this is not a complete game are wrong. Using that logic then the first Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter are not complete movies/books because they don't finish the story. It is not the full story but it is the full game, just like other forms of entertainment that nobody complains this vocally about.
Are you guys really playing for 20 hours straight that you require a controller to last that long? Asking for science
This won't happen in America due to ISP data caps.
I am hoping that the introduction of battle passes leads them to not keep releasing cod games every year. I would think they make more off the passes than the physical game
Meh, this number is not really telling about the popularity of the game. "15 Million players since launch" does that mean 15 million have tried it and then now don't play it? Wasn't this game free on game pass for a while? Provide how many concurrent active players the game has at present and then we can talk about. Until then, this company is just massaging the numbers to look good.
