Yeah I hear the new 50 series nvidia gpus are very affordable.
There's only one console in need of reviving.
@zeref
Yeah, I'm sure that's the reason why...
Most gaming PC numbers are made up of potato PCs running F2P titles like DOTA.
Oh, exclusives matter? Who knew?
Sadly, this. I can't remember a GTA or RDR that hit its initial release year. Maybe they learned a lesson since then and were very confident for a 2025 release but I'm not holding my breath.
Looks like they should have spent more. Now they've released a subpar product that damages their reputation as well as potentially damaging their relationship/trust with Marvel.
The Series X/S backwards compatibility to their old classics was one of the last few selling points for those consoles.
"That’s according to Xbox head Phil Spencer, who, as revealed by the FTC v. Microsoft documents that were released and subsequently removed today, told lawyers during a court event that Xbox would “exit the gaming business” if it failed to get 100 million customers to sign up for Game Pass by fiscal year 2027."
This is sustainable? :)
Who is to say a game like Shadow of the Colossus would even exist if it wasn't funded by Sony in order to entice consumers to their platform? Halo was going to be a RTS for Macs before MS stepped in because they needed a game to sell their Xbox. Exclusives also take full advantage of the hardware they are released on, meaning the game can be the best it can be.
Nothing anti consumer about this, nobody stops you from owning multiple platforms.
Apologies for the long delay, I was away. Anyway, Doom/Ghost/FFVIIR etc didn't have to deal with a massive, malicious leak that spread a 4chan false narrative about the game and spoiled huge key moments in a game that was mostly anticipated for its story. To still hit 10m despite all of that going against it in 1.5 years and on PS4 only, was a triumph. God of War 2018 was brought down to $40 within 6 months of launch permanently (Oct 2018), but this fact is never brought up when TLOU2 pri...
TLOU2 sold 10m in less time and on PS4 only. Many Druckmann haters like to pretend it's a flop and that Japanese games like this are what the people want.
As opposed to the PCs that can't run UE games without shader compiling stutters? The PCs where you can't own your games? Not to mention where you won't see GTA6 for god knows how long after PS5?
Yeah, let's dismiss that because some devs haven't wrapped their heads around a new feature yet.
I'm not surprised that PlayStation is on top against Xbox again this generation, but I am surprised by how easy it has been for them to do it.
I just got out of the hospital, I'm loving it so far, stays faithful but adds enough to keep it fresh and the visuals are stunning.
There's 60m PS5s and 130m+ steam players, just goes to show, some markets are more valuable to devs than others, even if they're smaller.
Wasn't Shattered Memories a remake of SH1?
Now we just need Nintendo to try and compete with a 3rd person over the shoulder cinematic single player game, or are Sony the only ones who actually have a diverse library?
Review specifically mention how dark interiors are and how thick the fog is.
He didn't say 2 games in a year, he said 2 back to back. He could have included Helldivers 2, FFVII Rebirth, Stellar Blade and Rise of the Ronin.
"no longer viable" as the PS5 out paces the PS4 and that's before GTA6 releases. The Switch 2 will almost certainly be a smash hit also.
