Agree-- bubble up for you!
It may be too late for Microsoft-- everyone already sold their Xbox 360s to get the most out of them before the One is released & took that money to pre-order a PS4-- I know I did--(I sold two of them on Craigslist last week)!!!
Shouldn't that be first "Quarter" instead of "Semester?
"Semester" just sounds strange to me-- hmmm.
Sold both of my Xbox 360s and pre-ordered a PS4 less that 10 minutes from hanging up my phone with GameStop.
Luckily, I called to ask because their crappy "Be the First to Know" message system didn't work.
I was #18 out of 20 and am very happy that I took the initiative to find out for myself-- or else I would've been SOL.
I haven't picked a game yet-- not sure all the titles that will be out on release day. I'm als...
Got a shiny new PS3 Super-Slim mode, Black Ops 2, PS+, and Sony Pulse Elite 7.1 Headset-- I have more games than I could hope to play until then-- hahahaha!!!
Keeping the PS3 mainly for streaming videos from my laptop to my TV & letting my grandkids play with that while I keep my PS4 upstairs in my office where I pretty much will be the only one playing on it.
It's not embarrassing to me-- I knew better than to pre-order Microsoft's sorry "DRM Cable Box One".
Let's see,
PS4 pre-ordered from my local GameStop: (Check)
Both my Xbox 360s sold off of Craigslist today: (Check)
Xbox Live Gold Subscription going "dark" next month:(Check)
Talk all my 3 grown sons into buying a PS4: (Check)
Looks like I got "all my ducks in a row" this time--...
Yup.
That's why both of my Xbox 360s are on Craigslist and my Xbox Live Gold subscription goes dark next month.
I pre-ordered my PS4 yesterday and PS+ subscription was paid up just last week.
We tried warning Microsoft that their draconian anti-consumer / anti-gamer ways weren't going to fly-- but they refused to listen.
I've got to say that I'm estatic about the future of video gaming because Sony really does...
Yeah buddy!
I just bought a new PS3 Super Slim model and Black Ops 2 so I could play with my grown up son living half way across the US.
It was a "no brainer" for me when I decided to buy the PS+ yearly subscription after seeing all of the games I can get for free.
Let's just say that I probably won't need to buy any more games until my shiny new PS4 arrives later this year.
Yep, I was number 18 out of 20 th...
Very nicely written. You summed up my feelings about all this in this post. These are the reasons I am getting a PS4 & although Sony is not perfect, their vision for the future of gaming is much more closer to my own than the drivel that Microsoft has been shoving down our throats lately. Thank you for letting me know that I am not the only one out there that feels the same way about these things.
Me too!!!
Well hell, this arrived in my email just this very evening...

Well said, brother, well said.
Mike-- you know who really "won" yesterday?
I'll give you a hint-- it was neither Microsoft nor Sony.
It was GAMERS that won yesterday because Sony listened to gamers while Microsoft continued to ignore warnings from everyone in the video gaming industry-- (from gamers, to developers, to analysts, to retailers, etc.)
Let's face it; Microsoft "screwed the pooch" on this one. It is their fault that their vision for ...
Yeah, it "hurts" a little, but considering what would have happened if Sony mirrored Microsoft's draconian anti-gamer / anti-consumer / anti-privacy policies, it is a small price to pay to be able to play games with the least number of restrictions possible.
I just signed up for PlayStation+-- on my shiny new PS3--last week and am blown away with all the content that is available to me. I must have spent at least a full day downloading all of that stuff and have...
Share it with us when you do-- that'd be great!
Sony did an excellent job keeping the momentum going since its reveal & keeping the rumor mill quiet on their side.
Microsoft simply failed to heed the opinions of gamers everywhere to instead greedily clamor for any bit of money it could get from their customers.
In the end, Microsoft pretty much cut their own throats-- all Sony had to do was stand out of their way and let it happen.
I'm pretty sure that the price for the PS4 wasn...
Yep.
Sony better not mirror what Microsoft is doing with their anti-consumer / anti-gaming policies or I may just ignore the BOTH of them and get a Steambox instead.
There's much more at stake here than "my console is better than your console".
The entire future of gaming is at hand and I'll be the first to laugh at Microsoft AND Sony as they fall over dying after cutting their own throats-- all because they didn't have ...
Saw the vid-- loved & agreed with pretty much everything dude had to say.
Microsoft is in trouble-- they'd be wise to take some of this criticism and actually change their anti-consumer / anti-gamer draconian policies before it's too late.
I've already reinvested in a new PS3 and am getting used to the different controller as of last week.
My two Xbox 360's are sitting idle-- only to be used as a media streaming device fro...
I watched this video last week.
Nothing in it sounded like he was "raging" in any manner.
The things he mentioned were true and I agree with everything he said.
Overall, his commentary was just as "level-headed" of a discussion of Microsoft's Xbox One blunders as anything else posted on this site.
Mainly PS4-- hahaha!!!
