I can't decide which to do first-- punch Larry "Major Nelson" Hyrb in the face or personally pull each & every Kinect NSA spy camera out of every box coming off off the assembly line.
It's a tie-- my soul won't rest until I cross both those items off my " bucket list".
Yup-- I can't wait to see Major Nelson post pics of the "First RROD"-- that'd be very funny.
"Burn,baby burn"-- hahahaha!
I agree that that box DOES have an impact on the way people perceive their purchases-- if not, then why the hell are there so many "unboxing" videos floating around on YouTube all the time?
Having said that, I can see a problem because most consumers will not be able to distinguish the new Xbox One from an Xbox 360 with Kinect on the store shelves-- both systems look very similar to me.
I believe that a fancy new box can give the impression that som...
Yeah--Xbox!
I like Mr. Panello's tone and the comparisons he made between the Xbox One & PS4 make me feel more at ease with my decision to go with the Xbox One instead of the PS4.
It's very refreshing to see that perhaps the Xbox One isn't as "weak" as we all once thought.
I'm pretty sure that Panello's message was that the two systems simply can't be compared "apples to apples" because the hardware on each is a bit differe...
Awwwww ain't that nice-- not!
Got mine earlier this afternoon-- cancelled my preorder for PS4 & put the money down on this.
I have a lot of respect for Sony & the capabilities of the PS4-- but for MY OWN reasons, I prefer the Xbox One.
I say buy the system of YOUR choice and game the way YOU want & leave the bickering to all the rest people that don't know any better.
Funny one allformats!
Most Wanted was pretty damn good, too!
I like your thinking younglj01.
Bubble up for your interesting take on this topic.
This one looks interesting-- it's all "purpley"-- (Saints Row the 3rd made purple cool)-- and the upside down smile just freaks me the hell out.
Without a doubt, the art style used in this game will make it easily recognizable in a seemingly overcrowded ocean of indie games to come.
I really like it when employers do something nice for their employees-- it's just "good business" all around.
Good job on that one Microsoft!
Yeah-- looks pretty good to me!
The ONLY way that Xbox Ones will "fly off the shelves" is for Microsoft to release a Kinect-less SKU, copy PS+ game for game, and sell it for $50 less than the PS4.
Do it Microsoft-- DO IT!!!
I bet AMD wasn't supposed to let that one out-- doh!
Xenoboade Chronicles was on the list-- they're still trying to rip off the kiddies the don't know any better-- shame on them!
Oh.
Wow.
I guess Lightning was a girl after all.
The article was pretty good-- it gave several legitimate reasons why he/she wasn't buying an Xbox One.
Many of the reasons given reflected my own.
I have been quite loyal to Xbox & Xbox 360-- in fact, while I've gone back and forth with the PS3 several times before, I've always come back to the Xbox as "my system of choice".
That was before they tried to screw gamers with all that DRM & Kinect BS.
I just "upgraded" from a PS3 "phatty" to a "slim" earlier this week & also got another for my office upstairs.
I prefer the "slim" model over the "super-slim" model because it seems better built, runs quieter, and the giant top loading tray is ever so cheaply made.
I knew this deal was coming, but I'd rather pay for the machine I like / want than one that doesn't satisfy me.

"Raw Performance/power may not mean much right now, but 5 years down the line it certainly will".
This is one of the strongest reasons that makes me question keeping my Xbox One pre-order.
A "weak" system now will eventually be a "weaker" system sometime soon in the future.
We've been told these systems will last 10 years-- I really don't want to constantly be "behind the curve" the entire lifet...
