... that you only own a 360?
As long as the hype for this doesn't go the Forza route, I'm cool. Just don't over sell it Sony. The only thing that I will agree with in this article is that Bayonetta does make the combat in GoW seem sluggish. I'll probably eat sh!t for that comment, but dammit if it ain't true. No matter what, this is a day one for me and I own a 360/PS3, so I'll be the judge of whether or not this can be done on any other platform. I'm wondering if they should learn a lesson from Forza and just keep their...
David Jaffe's GOTY *is* very unexpected. Actually, they should've substituted very with completely. Whoever wrote this needs better control over their written English if they want to be taken seriously.
That would help explain his GOTY choice. Don't get me wrong, Flower's awesome. Just not GOTY awesome. Maybe I'm just pissed 'cause I can't get the trophy for going through the city level without getting electrified. Hmm...
I thought I was the only one wrestling with that.
Thank Jesus! I'm dangerously close to selling my Wii too. Alright, I'll hold on a little longer.
Ha ha... Just reread your post. Thanks for the chuckle.+1 New Years bubble for you.
EDIT: And yeah, the new survivors suck.
My friend called me up to tell me they released the demo for it and I was counting the minutes for that bad boy too. He was like, "Your gonna love it!" I hated it, and the demo didn't even have the rpg elements in it. My friend, disappointed in my disgust for the game, bought it just to prove to me that it was awesome. He quickly ended up hating it. He didn't get half way through and called it a wrap. And L4D2 also did not impress. Maybe if it were discounted expansion or dlc I wo...
That's a joke right?
I don't wanna agree but, yup.
My roommate just picked up the PS3 version and that thing is maybe running at 28 to 30 frames per second. Maybe. While that might not be bad, after playing the GOW3 demo, Bayonetta, and Dante's Inferno it's pretty safe to say, that I've been spoiled. Sorry, 60fps is awesome and a game that cribs so much of GOW should've locked that down. I have the PS3/360 so I wanted to get the better running game and if the PS3 is the winner, well then they both lose. Dammit! I was dying for this! *sigh* I...
Word. EDF was mindless fun. Unlimited ammo, giant robots, you could blow anything up without negative repercussions, you could down giant UFO's, it even had a Mecha Godzilla for crying out loud. Nope, EDF = fun. If you went into that game with next gen greatness in mind ( or if you paid full price ) I could see where you'd be let down. But once you make it to the beach sequence with the giant walking robots, it's pretty much guaranteed to turn a frown upside down.
For a budget title that game was awesome. Just big dumb fun. I disagree highly. I'd rather play that than Halo. That's right, I said it.
EDIT: Vampire Rain didn't make the list?
Weed. That is all.
Gears brought me into the online world. Credit where credit is due, MS definitely got that right.
Because Nintendo stopped doing it. Someone had to start taking this sh!t seriously again. Good on Sony.
No...? *sigh*
Thankfully, we're all gonna be up to our eyeballs in good games to help pass the time. Still, 2011... dammit!
@EA: Bring back the Force Gun and leave out the Z-Basketball. Thank you.
But what Dante's Inferno does well, GoW just does better. I'm still gonna pick it up though. Dante's Inferno, GoW 3, Bayonetta, and Darksiders. Good times/poor times here I come!
Bayonetta does in fact, make it look sluggish. GoW combat is far more brutal and visceral, but Bayonetta took the combat and left it up to the user to create any combo they can imagine on the fly. Any special move can be linked, any combo can canceled and it doesn't even matter whether or not your in the air or on the ground. It all works. GoW and Bayonetta-apples and oranges. Luckily, I like both and so should anyone else. The only franchise truly threatened by Bayonetta is Ninja Gaiden, GoW...
