i am all for it. in australia EBgames sells second hand at $5 cheaper than new. At $110-120 for a new game, it is a lot of money eb are making where the publishers would have. so i see it as a good way to get back at the greedy retailers. plus i support the industry when i can, which means buying new for me, just never at eb.
my problem with ea is their recent short games and instant dlc, which was obviously left off the game purely for extra dlc revenue.

i actually enjoyed the BFBC1 story. it had a lot of humour in it. Can't even remember the BFBC2 story. BF3 will be like playing CoD for single player so no doubt the story will be just as forgetful.

PC games are stifled by piracy
very true... graphics are not everything. they still can't seem to get enemy AI right. something they don't even try to any more because they are too busy making the game look pretty so they can be a contender for game of the year. focus on what makes a game great, and it is not graphics.
upgradeable console equals a PC. the biggest strength to a console is the lack of upgrades and the complete optimisation. i don't want upgrades, this is a stupid idea and the whole point i game on console.
