this is why for console i import. never pay over $60AU for a game. have to wait a bit but the country can go to hell. all these justifications work to a certain point but when retailers and distributors use it as an excuse for making more money the arguments fall down.
it isn't just games. we pay 3 times for cars, food, alcohol, cigarettes... pretty much everything.
the internet is a blessing for a greedy, ripoff country like Oz.

exactly. these things take time. Frostbite 1 had destruction, although limited was still awesome. no point in having choppers and tanks if you can't blow shit up. Frostbite 1.5 improved on it and frostbite 2.0 will perfect it
as for Valve, as far as i'm concerned i can't tell the difference between Portal 1 and 2 game engines. both are very basic

it amazes me that games can still have horrible AI. after all this time, do they just concentrate on graphics or something. game after game just suck at AI (well the illusion of AI anyway).

this is why BC1 and 2 were better online shooters than any CoD. while the world was playing CoD i have been slowly converting everyone i know to battlefield for the above reasons and it hasn't been very hard
1. it will be far from "brilliant". are you drunk?
2. proven franchise that has hardly changed since CoD1 (especially single player)
3. because people will still buy it
4. BF3 will be better than BC2 on consoles so will be the best shooter by far on consoles
