Wait a minute...isnt "marketing for boys" presuming that only "boys" can like certain things? Wouldn't that make the authors whole argument "sexist" lol?
Lol...hyperbolic much? "Awe inspiring"??? Its a neat device (I have one), but lets just calm right the fuck down.
It would just be the cherry on top. I have excellent 20/15 vision, and am just curious what "true 4k" movies look like. 4k streaming looks great as well as DirecTV in 4k, but would still love to see 4k blueray.
The day I boot up my pro and am like "ugh...this could look so much better..." Is the day I start looking at the X. Problem is, by that time, PS5 will be right around the corner. The only thing that has me looking at it even a little bit right now is the 4k blueray player, although the stand alones are rapidly dropping in price.

HDR finally. Will geive me a reason to go back and get into it again.
Already looks awesome on the pro!
So THIS is why they released it in that suicide window. Wow...slimy fuckers.
Read the update at the bottom of the article mr smarty pants lol
The auther Nicole Hunter obviously suffers from some form of psychosis. The intro to SMO disturbed her lololol
Typical xbox fart joke nutt punch marketing lol.
Whatever it is HDR is now an available option on my tv and ps4pro and it makes a BIG difference. Looks awesome!
At Best Buy there are hdmi cables rated for HDR and 4k, they say it on the packaging. Its 2.0 or something like that.
Call it a "myth" all you want, but it 100% WORKED for me. I have a samsung curved 55" 7500. Once used, BOTH my tv AND ps4pro had hdr options available that previously weren't.
Lol
Mines a 2016, and all I needed was the right hdmi. There is VERY little info on the net about this though, so it might be hard to find out if the cable upgrafe works for you without actually trying it out.
Lol
Another important thing to note for some TVs. I have a curved 4k sammy that was NOT advertised as HDR and did not come with the hdmi cable that supports HDR. Luckily...and I mean LUCKILY, someone on these forums wrote a post saying that my tv, and others like it ARE HDR capable and all I needed to do was buy the proper hdmi cable and the HDR settings would become availabe. I thought no fucking way, but what the hell its only a $25 or so cable. Could not believe my luck when in fact this w...
Ive owned it on both ps4vanilla and the Pro and the fact is that it looks MUCH better on the Pro. The res bump is nice, but its really the bump + HDR that makes it amazing.
"Only 77% more pixles" lol, like thats nothing...
Plus you conveniently leave out HDR. GTFOOH
Who in their right mind would give up their Pro with whats yet to come on it? Sure, buy an X to go along with your pro, but the best is yet to come for PS excluaives.
