To answer the money problem... There's a service called GameFly, which is basically the same as Netflix but for games.
What if you trip over the cord of one of your corded controllers? There goes a $60 game you paid for, because of MS not wanting to pay 25 cents per console.
I've spent about $800 total on my PC gaming rig, not including games. It plays most games at max settings just fine. It even handles Crysis on medium-high settings. So, your whole logic about the "upgrades", and even the $1000 price point used in this article, is incredibly inaccurate.
I would really like to see the Dark Cloud series (1 and 2) remade on current-gen consoles. These two games were absolutely incredible, and they defined innovation in certain aspects.
That right there is the best picture I have ever seen, I do believe.
I want to meet this man, and get him to make me one of those outfits.
This article is bollocks.
Assassin's Creed was a great game, no matter how repetitive it was.
Not only that, but Mirror's Edge was incredible. It went out of the ordinary, and it was different, and fun. Gunplay was dumbed down on purpose, I'm sure. Whenever you picked up a gun, the game lost its charm, because guns weren't the point. It was MUCH more fun to run around using only your fists and running by enemies and dodging everything they throw at you.

How is this related to gaming anyways?
Actually, there are 3D televisions available on the market right now for $1000 USD. Similar in price to normal HD televisions, just slightly more.
Not user-friendly enough? Are you kidding me? I picked up the mechanics in about 20 minutes.
Yeah, but Blizzard makes their fair share of stupid decisions. Like the lack of public chat channels in SC2, the low limit on custom content, or the fact that we can't host games with custom names and stuff, and the censors... and the requirement that you publish a map before you can play it with people... and the removal of LAN... I could go on and on, but those are the worst.
Pssh, look at CoD (Except WaW) or Halo. There's almost no blood and gore, yet the game is still rated 18+ in PEGI, and M in ESRB. That's just plain... well... stupid.
(CoD is kind of generic anyways... Looking forward to Black Ops though.)
Yes.
This REALLY looks like an Alienware machine now.
Only not even half as powerful.
America watches the most pornography... Over half of the world's pornography visitors... Hmm... Why am I not surprised, with those prudish attitudes towards life, the human body, etc.?
Which console players cannot do. Man, I feel so sorry for them.
Is that what you seriously think about PCs? There are anti-cheat measures in place, and besides, it's CO-OP, not competitive multiplayer, so it wouldn't really matter anyways, now would it?
Google "PunkBuster"
Doesn't the PlayStation Move offer the same 1:1 functionality, at a much more accurate and less laggy performance?
Was ist das?!?
You have six bubbles!!
And yeah, there's still plenty of time to work on the game and work out any kinks.
Definitely felt bad for the guy. At least they didn't pull a Microsoft and use pre-recorded footage.
Yeah, pretty much sums it up.
It's a "period," not a "period mark." I hate you. You need to go crawl in a hole and die. You don't deserve to live. You're like Meg from Family Guy. Nobody cares about you. You suck.
