About as long as a GTA game, pretty much expected that. Sounds good! Sega is seriously doing gamers a disservice if they don't bring this to the US.
As much as I was looking forward to Street Fighter IV, even more so I would be looking forward to MvC3. I played MvC2 to DEATH.
This is seriously the most epic reference. Love both games!
Ya man, I really think they should have released HD Remix MUCH earlier.
Ya... surprised it didn't even beat out Soul Calibur. Although this is kinda a really awkward time to release a game in Japan(right after all the big weeks in January).
Gonna get the demo off PSN tomorrow... Loved Ace Combat, hopefully this fills the void.
Sucks for PC owners! Though if it looks this good on PS3, imagine on PC? ::drool::
Will wait to see if the price for renting games is effected before I get too excited...
As it is, especially for the time it was released in(right after the Japanese holiday rush), thats alright. I wonder, though, without the shipment issues, could it have reached 100K++?? May indeed be a lost opportunity.
"FEAR 2 isn't terrible. That's the most terrible thing of all."
OK, so why give it a 5? Seriously, it sounds like the only complaint was that it was rather old school. It doesn't have regenerative health, and it's somewhat linear. That's literally the only cons they had to it. Just reading the review without seeing the score, I would have thought it would have got an 8 or 7.
Hawx is due out in fiscal Q4 2008 and a new IP, so it doesn't count. I Am Alive is a new IP, so it doesn't count as a franchise game. And you're dreaming if you think a new Prince of Persia game is coming out now. It's developed by the same studio as the Assassins Creed franchise, which is already confirmed to have another game coming out this year.
What more can I say? Good games move units. A good game will appeal universally to multiple audiences, and Killzone 2 is a good game.
Add Flower and thats my list.
The info is posted on UbiSoft's press site... you can find it here: http://www.ubisoftgroup.com...
Clearly says that 2009 FYTD the PS3 has 21% of the sales.
So what about UbiSoft's 360 exclusive, Naruto: Broken Bond? That sold close to half a million... oh but wait, that doesn't count either?
First of all, about your whole 'sensationalist journalism' rant - the whole point of journalists is to make out trends and details and present them to a public that might otherwise not recognize them. This article did that. A sensationalist article takes things completely out of context and spins them to mean something outside the original intent.
The article said the PS3 is the leading home console because it IS the leading console. It's 1% ahead of the 360 and 6% ahead of th...
The 360 is behind so it's trailing, no matter what way you want to look at it. Though it's only 1%, that's still thousands of units and that's still a huge achievement considering the PS3 to 360 ratio in the US and Europe is nearly 1:2. Although what the article also doesn't mention the reason why is probably because UbiSoft published the PS3 exclusive Haze.
And the other 44% is the DS(which is probably the largest %), PSP, and PC.
I really think this is gonna be the sleeper hit of 2009. There's no hype for this game at all, but it seriously looks like it will one up Mass Effect in every way.
So THATS what game this is... This is the video that was shown to be Alan Wake earlier this month. Guess we know what the real game is now.
