Consoles have traditionally not sold well in Japan even for Sony as that region has in the past preferred handheld devices. It's doubtful it had the impact that people are trying to make it out to be. And Microsoft raised the price of xbox for the second time in India so yes they do raise prices.
Well said, it's the same reason the xbox elite controller sells. People will pay for the PS5 even at an increased price becasue they know they are getting a superior experience.
The difference is the bad press for xbox one was well deserved, the bad press for Sony this generation is little more than a desperate attempt to dethrone the king becasue people know using the bad press agenda is their last shot. It failed before and it will fail again.
