@Beast
Because it's a genre that ND have never done. Imagine a story driven Sci-Fi game from ND, with their talent when it comes to believable and likeable characters. Not to mentions the visuals. It would be epic.
Remember, they are a pretty huge studio. I wouldn't be surprised if they make a TLOU sequel/prequel AND a new game/IP at the same time.
I don't think they;re just gonna stick to TLOU and UC4 (although i wouldn't complain), i think the are gonna throw another franchise into the mix.
They're not overworked if they choose to work long hours. That's called dedication and passion. They aren't slaves, lol.
Plus, now that TLOUR is finished, they can afford to move onto something else. I for one can not wait to see what it is they're working on. I'd give my left nut for a tour of their studio and a peek at their next game.
Savage Starlight.
If it's not, then whatever they are making will undoubtedly be pure gold.
But i really do hope it's Savage Starlight, a Sci-Fi ND game would be a dream come true.
For a game like this, an FPS that requires good reactions, team work and co-ordination? 60fps is kinda needed. Anything less would be really disappointing. I'm glad they see the necessity of 60fps with this game.
No, we just hate your change.
Yet another example of these big companies putting all the blame on us when their plans don't go as smooth as they would like (MS did it with the X1 reveal, too). It's all OUR fault, WE aren't ready, WE don't like change. Nothing is ever wrong with THEIR plans and policies, no no, it's always us.
GTFO of here, EA.
17th for PS4/3
I can completely understand them preferring PC, i can completely understand them wanting to make a no-compromises, hardcore game for the PC crowd...but i don't see why they couldn't start work on a console version after the PC version is released. That way nothing will be compromised for the PC version, nothing will have to be "dumbed down". They could make whatever necessary changes for the console version whilst keeping the PC crowd happy at the same time.
...
If you turned down the settings low enough, sure they could, same goes for any game. How are people with PC's that are as powerful or even less powerful than a PS4/X1 going to play it, if PS4/X1 couldn't handle it? That statements makes no sense and just sounds like elitist garbage. It could be done, even if you had to turn down the settings to low @ 720p 30fps.
PS: Please release it for PS4, lol. This is one game that makes me jealous of PC gamers.
Yeah, lets make all crowd models 100k polygons so there's no room left for anything else that actually matters!

"Indies are good sides to go with your main course "
I mostly agree, that's how i view the majority of indies.
"AAA > Indie "
Not always. A game being AAA doesn't automatically make it better than any indie title. That's incredibly naive and ridiculous to even think that. Many AAA's are absolute garbage, just like many indie titles. Either one can be better than the other.
@mrswank
What's bullcrap? I'm saying i disagree with the type of DLC that Ubi releases, same as you.
What? How does that even make sense? 99.9% of DLC from multiplats is on all platforms. And many exclusives have full-blown story add ons, on top of tons of MP expansions.
I'm open to post-launch DLC, made from the ground up. Not the nickel and dime, made-alongside-the-main-game variant of DLC that Ubisoft is known for.
Haha, this awesome! My second favourite TV show of all time and one of my favourite videogames of all time.
Bravo.
Oh, really? I never knew that.
Disregard my above comment then :D
I believe it says somewhere in the TOS that if you cancel your pre-order after downloading the beta, you are still liable to be charged for any features attached to that pre-order (the beta).
I'm not 100% on this though, you might wanna check beforehand.
It is. Look at the way they draw the readers focus towards the words GAMING and HEROIN by putting only those words in obnoxious capitals, trying to create a sub-concious association with the two things.
Pathetic scum bags. No doubt the vast majority of the people who type this garbage are people who have zero experience actually playing videogames.
Food for thought: Why don't they ever conduct interviews with us, the gamers?
Good point, also. Only the ignorant think calling a game an indie is insulting, there are indies I've played this gen that I've enjoyed more than full retail releases.
Many AAA games are garbage these days, anyway. Lack of creativity and risk.
I guess that's just what happens when you're the top dogs (lol). Their games are higher quality than most, thus expectations are higher, and so is the hate/criticism.
