No, it wasn't. It always had a PS Plus version along with the main game. It was never *just* a free game on PS Plus, though.

The PGR series is considered one of the best racing franchises of all time, despite not having any of the features that you seem to think every game should have based off what FH2 has (apart from the kudos point system). Why is that? I'll tell you why, it's because PGR does what it set to do extremely well - racing.

I know everyone, myself included, always bangs on about the visuals in this game, but lets forget the visuals for a second and talk about how amazing the sense of speed is.
Seriously, this game looks exhilarating to play because of how spot on the sense of speed is. And when you mix that sense of speed with aggressive AI, an an unmatched cockpit view which gives visual and physical feedback of subtle bumps and nicks in the road, you get what looks to be a great racer.

There's nothing to be confused about - different games, different devs, different engine. Just because they're both soccer games, it doesn't mean they are going to perform equally.
In this day and age, 720p on a current-gen console is unacceptable. Even more so when a last-gen console is pulling off the same specs.

Apart from the fact that graphics aren't DC's main selling point. It's main selling point is that it's a thoroughbred track racer, with a strong emphasis on clubs and competing. Why isn't that good enough? Why does every game have to be what other games are, or have what other games have?
