I waited until a few days ago to buy it and I'm glad I did. All of the online components work fine, the weather patch is incredible, and there's free SP DLC. I can't speak for what the game was like at launch, but I'd recommend anyone who is on the fence to buy it now. It's a great game.

Lmfao...are you serious? The enemy AI in GTA V is some of the worst enemy AI I've ever seen in a game. And that's coming from someone who considers GTA V to be in my top 5 games of all time.
Seriously, the enemy AI in this game are so cheap. They can take off your armor by blind-firing...

I love how people completely gloss over the fact that A) This game is a SANDBOX, you are encouraged to do *anything you want*, not any specific thing, or to kill any specific gender. And B) You kill WAY, WAY, WAY more men in this game than women.
There's a controversial torture scene involving a man. You kill hundreds of male police officers, and hundreds of male NPC's during the course of the game.
But yeah, the game is totally misogynous. /s
