How the hell is a 7.5 not a great score? Do you people not understand what "AVERAGE" means? What is the average on a scale of 1 to 10? FIVE. That means this game scored ABOVE AVERAGE.
Because it's become a "meme" now. The Souls series to people is "that series that's SOOO HARD!" From Software seems to have picked up on this and now they've been doing their best to make it as difficultly annoying as possible, rather than incorporating a good challenge.
This can be seen in their rebranding of DaS with "Prepare to Die edition", with the choices made in DaS2 and even the recent changes they made to it. Which is a shame...
However taking off points for any sort of sexist, racist, homophobic or "not politically correct" content is an issue. Especially when that content is used to add to the world building. If he were to mention the fact that the game worked to build its characters as truly terrible people, then that would be criticizing and describing it. However he simply took off points because "OH NO THEY SAID THE C WORD". Look at recently Django Unchained controversy.

See any gamegrumps, roosterteeth or pewdiepie video. It can be argued that Roosterteeth provide hints with their achievement hunter guides. Their let's play channel however; as entertaining as it is, is simply playing a game while having banter with each other. GameGrumps from what I've watched is the more of the same, with there being less relevance to the game and just crude jokes. But we're not here to discuss quality.

That is already false. Many let's players do not talk about the game at all. Instead they attempt to add in their own comedy. Within that same paragraph "let's plays are not for profit". Also false. Let's plays are definitely for profit, which is how many of these youtubers have built themselves up.

Oddly enough this has been the first call of duty game to actually be innovative in years. Hopefully Battlefield 4 wasn't nominated for anything; as it would not have deserved it.

Those nutcases you mentioned are just two sides of the same coin.
They'll ruin it by trying to turn it into a modern battlefield game. This is being made more and more evident with every bit of information they release. They're only interested in letting players play out the 'iconic' battles which sounds like more presentation over content bs.

No. The talent that worked on those games has all but left. They recently worked on Sonic Boom. Which is a shame because now all they work on are Uncharted like games. And I wouuld rather have Crash or Jak and Daxter than another bloody Uncharted.

Many people have computer science/tech related jobs. Why anyone would want to work in the modern video game industry is beyond me, so I have no idea why you're saying that. You don't have to work for sony to be able to figure out what a psuedo-computer's architecture consists of.
No thanks, don't want Battlefield 3.2: Star Wars edition. Us fans want an up to date version of Battlefront with some new features and that means third person/first person options.
If by clone you mean that it offered Faction vs Faction gameplay with vehicles and the use of classes, then yes. Everything else was much different.

In Battlefront third person perspective only gave you the advantage in rolling. First person gave you a slight accuracy boost. A staple of the series on consoles was that it was default oriented in third person mode. Dice will ruin it if they do not allow that.
No Thorstein. People are criticizing games that have been hyped to the heavens simply because they exist, then most of the time they meet none of those expectations.
