I agree with this sentiment. It used to be that DLC or Expansions weren't released until a year or more after the game; it truly expanded upon the content that was already offered.
So far we know that it will be a far cry from the classic Battlefront experience. What more do we need to know? That it looks good? As a fan of Battlefront since day 1, why should I care about the game if they cannot even offer the features that were standard 10 years ago?
As a consumer, even rumors like these should make you demand better.
As long as they allow custom servers/matches on PC. A lot of us still play in massive 100+ battles.

Chief should have had a quarter of the speaking he did in this commercial. They've giving him an air of humanity he doesn't have which ruins his character. It's the reason why commercials such as this one I'm linking were so amazing. Those simple two words with his actions were much more powerful than that boring monologue.

That game wasn't delayed. It was in development hell. It switched from developer to developer.
Except the Halo 3 engine looks fine and still holds up today. Imagine how well it will run when given some capable hardware.

What exactly did we see of the game? A quick corridor sequence where you shoot some baddies ala Uncharted and then a glorified cinematic sequence to tie it all up. I understand that for some reason people now adays only care about games that have quick time events and useless set pieces, but I personally do not want that.
Let it die, please. Last thing we need is ANOTHER third person corridor shooter. Better off making an actual sequel to Star Wars Bounty Hunter.
That's a huge negative aspect. Especially when the developers intend for the player to die quite a bit. Spending most of your time waiting for a loading screen is not fun.
And I was surprised with how long P.T. took to load. Although the forty seconds isn't every time you die, that's just unacceptable. Compare to DaS1 where it takes you at most 5 seconds to respawn with the animation.
