I hate 8k and it shouldn't be mentioned or discussed at all for the next 6-8 years. When I see YT videos of gaming in 8k, I tell it to F*&k off. 4k movies and gaming are about to hit mainstream so lay off 8k!
There are current gen 1st and 3rd party games (including newly released SW Squadrons VR) that I'm waiting to play on PS5 so I'm ready to jump on next gen.
After seeing U5 demo, I'm actually fine staying at 4k/60/120 for next gen and gen after while we see improvements in other areas in game development.
I don't like this format.
I'm actually for it even though $70 seems a bit high. I'm all in support for quality games. I would like to see Bloodborne 2 using Unreal 5 tech demo. Crappy games like Fallout 76, Mass Effect: A, and Madden etc. wouldn't receive a dime from me. It's that simple.
I used to think HDR doesn't make that much difference for game visuals, but now it's a must for me. Think I'm might feel the same for ray tracing.
This looks good for a remaster! But I'm willing to wait a bit longer for Blue Point to remake this after seeing what they did to Demon Souls.

Based on what I've seen and heard the sound and graphics aren't that great compared to MW2019. In one of the multiplayer videos the M4/16 looks like a toy, wtf?

For me, maybe by the time I'm ready to buy an Xbox, MS will release a mid-gen upgrade by then.
What the hell did I miss? Why is there an uproar on this subject? They do this transition every generation for the 1st year or so along with 3rd parties as well. After about year two(?) is when they leave behind the previous gen and focus on the new gen while 3rd parties will continue to milk/support the previous gen until year 3.

We know that but what about the enhancements? That's what I want to know! I know there will be particularly 1st party titles but how many and what games?
Since they predict the demand will be high, it's really looking at $399 for digital, $449 for the disc edition.
Usually I buy next gen consoles to play next gen games, but for the first time, I look forward to playing enhenced current gen games on the next gen console lol.
Now it has a next gen feel to it.
If I were a dev I would have an Easy mode but once completed, the player will only get a glimpse of the ending - ahahaha. Beat it on Normal, player gets a reward with a/some special weapons or armor to play on Hard.
