I can see a good Uncharted or Assassin's Creed movie, but outside that...I don't think shooters make good movies.
LOL
This is just stupid. We have enough films about modern war already that deal with the topic with more depth and seriousness than this one would. I call cash cow.
But will it be only on the 360 that DLC prices stay pretty fixed, or on PSN and Wii too? PSP GO prices atm are more than what I can get the UMD versions for here in OZ.
Free DLC for old games makes sense.
The PSP GO situation as described hopefully will not be what happens if future consoles are DLC only. The PC with Steam makes more sense: depreciation = prices lower with time. I know a lot of people who get PC versions of games because of Steam, but consoles seem to keep prices the same for DLC regardless of time.
Totally with you there. Sick of games set in modern day or near future at the moment. This has an aura of mystery that terrorist plots and space marines simply don't.
I still have to get this game, but being a 'low-skill' driver these sorts of guides are perfect!
I hear there will also be books (but then the last game was supposed to have them too...).
This is an IP that can certainly not suffer by having films, PSP game, books etc. to support it. It is rich with story and potential interesting locations etc.
The movie was great...only the Halo live warthog ad was as cool.
I barely hear about the XBLA games unless they are Braid or Shadow Complex, but I'm sure I'd enjoy a few more of them if I looked more closely.
Just look at all the smaller game studios that have canned/ put on hold their interesting new IPs or gone under.
Theseis, Faith & a 45, The Crossing, Dead Island, Rainy Woods, Salvation, To End All Wars, The Outsider, 2 Days 2 Vegas are all games that have gone missing.
If the biggies can't sell their new IPs, what chance do they have?
I've just had a look through my game collection for 360 and PS3 and sure enough, 75% of the games I've kept (and there are quite a few) are sequels or movie tie-ins.
Anyone out there actually have more new IPs than sequel/movie tie-ins?
lol...deja vu.
I guess gamers vote with their cash. But then there are some movie tie-ins that don't deserve what sales they get...
Games like Little Big Planet and Scribblenauts show that innovation in gaming can come from the odd game or downloadable XBLA, PSN, or portable DS experiences. Don't know how well LBP sold though?
@ nix
Lol
Some people are really trying to make a profit off these now! I've seen people selling for $AUD350+ !!!
I'd have rather had a Assassin's Creed 2 LE console! :)
mate, I'm not BadCircuit...that's my son, lol.
I still have yet to pick up this game but I long to play the turns of Positano in a Ferrari!
Not everyone knows cars inside out...
I didn't mind the figurine at all: mind you I haven't had a real 'play' of it. The detail is pretty good and because we don't generally use them as 'toys', I don't think it needs to be as heavy. It sure is big!
Mind you the best one is still the Big Daddy, and that's pretty solid.
The art book, while good, uses matt paper rather than a glossy finish, which I would have preferred I think.
