Cloud streaming games will never overtake console gaming for one main reason. One will always require an internet connection and one will not. Accessibility is king and therefore the latter will remain in place.
Next gen I do plan on going all digital simply because I am running out of space with all of these discs aying around. A digital library would be more organized for me.
Considering that they have done zilch with the most powerful console ever made One X, I can kind of see why they aren’t in such a rush.
Although I do think they should almost immediately phase out the OG XBone to focus on the One X and the new console.
MS can make what seems like illogical decisions because this isn’t their bread and butter. Sony and Nintendo on the other hand can’t afford such incompetence.

No one talent is above the organization that is XBox. If they handcuff their talent and hold them to only making what they want then its all for naught. XBox has to allow the talent to make the games that they want to play. Take some risks.

You have to know your audience and not all of them are working adults with interest in gaming. So they have to keep the pricing reasonable.
