That is my point!

When we talk about let say Xbox 360 and PS3, the PS3 keep it's own when compared.

You talk about Xbox Live and PSN, and the discussion degenerates to how PSN is catching up with Xbox Lives features!

Until the day we start comparing Xbox Live to PSN, then we might see a shift. The other interesting thing in the article is this:

'Epke elaborated that they have been trying to bring their work to the US and Europe, but they have been unsuccessful in the past due to Japan being stubborn, as he says. He continues, "They don’t care much about social media and online gaming. Not many people play online games in Japan, apart from the ones that are into MMO’s. but, as I ...

Yep, and by the way books, movie and music industry suffers from piracy as well!

If there is money to be made, these companies will survive.

I'm not condoning piracy, but it is a fact of life!

I got some rechargeable Eneloop battery kit and it works fantastic! Batteries that are fully charged, sitting in my drawer don't loose very much charge at all like normal rechargeable batteries.

I don't bother with the Play'N Charge kit, because one it didn't work twice! Then it ties me to the machine. I hate built in batteries, just use regular AA and AAA batteries. It is cheap, convenient and available everywhere!

I love MW1&2 as well. I really don't know what the hate is all about here on n4g, but people clearly show love for it on the Xbox Live most played charts.

Yeah, it is pretty clear Sony screwed up big time here and I'm uncertain about PS Move's future.

Sony had the EyeToy and the Wii style motion control market. Instead, Wii took the latter market and MS is taking the former market leaving Sony with a sort of hybrid system.

Hybrid system might be superior, but everything indicates uptake for this device will be slow. Uptake needs to be fast for developers willing to put 18-24 months into developing games...

"The big question is what does sold out really mean? How many kits were sent to Amazon Germany? Were they only 10 kits, 50? Real numbers would give a better factual story."

We probably won't find those numbers unless the PS Move does well. However, how come the article don't talk about the overall standing of PS Move in relation to the full video game chart, instead of the Sony only section. That would give you a better idea.

I think people pay because they think it is worth it. A $10 increase on an annual subscription is relatively small, when your city, state and federal taxes gets hiked beyond belief every year. How much do you pay for cable service? Internet service? Cell phone service?

That is why people don't care! To them, it is minor fee for something they enjoy a lot.

But yeah, I would rather get Xbox Live free, but it isn't!

The Wii has never been cheaper and includes a lot more now. For less than $200+tax, you get a whole system with arguably two really good games. None of the competitors can meet that.

Add a fantastic huge game library that has many budget priced games that again none of the competitors can compete with.

To top it off, Wii Motion Plus is pretty darn good.

Tell me again, how Wii lost it's value?

"So, you're still going to need the remote control when you perform any other action with your TV. Remember, Kinect is just for some elements of your Xbox 360, not for your whole entertainment unit. TVs and similar devices would have to be built to recognize and integrate with the camera, none of which is happening. "

You are right, but I turn the TV on and change it to the correct channel once. I might use the 360 to navigate the available content, fast forward...

I frequently misplace my remote, and I don't want my controller on the whole time draining my batteries. I never have to look for my remote, nor do I have to worry about battery draining in any of the devices.

It might be slightly slower than a button assuming controller is within reach, but it sure as hell is more convenient for me as long as it isn't like annoying meaning I often trigger the wrong response.

Kinect tracks the person so the other won't mistakenly fast forward or rewind the movie.

The next thing people will complain is you can't lay down while using Kinect and then after that, it won't see through walls or people!

Didn't Spyro appear on the Nintendo handhelds?

I never said Sony don't have the right to do it. Sure it is in the ToS, but it still doesn't make it legal.

A contract (or portion thereof) is only legal as long as it complies with local laws.

Yes, that is a manual and that extra text you posted is something that was added later on. There are numerous instances where Sony advertised the feature either through print, online or just by word of mouth.

I'm just saying that it proba...

There were a couple of official Sony sites that mentioned the feature. You don't need to have it on the box if it is part of the feature set and the big shots at Sony is advertising it by mouth.

Here is one example with a quick google search giving you the manual itself:

I think having shareholders aren't necessary a bad thing as some balance is good. Giving too much creative freedom can yield detrimental affects on company finances alas games that don't sell, but might be great for a niche population.

All I have to say is, balance like Ying and Yang!

I think that considering that a host of people don't mind paying full price $60 for Halo: Reach or CoD: Black Ops, that a $10 increase doesn't really matter to them. Heck, if you are thrifty, you probably already stacked up on Xbox Live Gold annual subscription cards for $30 already.

If anything, time and time again gamers are some of the most spendy customers a company can have as evident by all the LE, CE and SE versions of games.

A measly $10 incr...

Sure, I have an option to sell the PS3 (and in the process loose a lot of money), but that is no way to treat your loyal customers.

Companies earn my business, and I will sure as hell think twice about investing into a Sony product when they can on a whim without hesitation remove a feature.

As a consumer, I really don't care what is in the ToS. All I care about is if Sony treated me well when I paid a lot for their product because let's face it, all ...
